Shop Prabal Gurung for Target Now, Plus See My Top Picks

The Prabal Gurung for Target collection has launched at Target stores and target.com - have you made any purchases yet? I've seen the collection twice in person (once at the press preview and more recently at the launch party), and all I can say is these pieces will go fast! The prices are right and the styles are so fresh and fun.

Here are a few pieces I'm loving after seeing them in person:

  1. Coral and teal colorblock dress ($39.99): The coral and blue on this dress are both super vivid in person, and the fabric drapes nicely. A great day to night option thanks to the cute cap sleeves.

  2. Lace Up Black Pumps ($39.99): The perfect, strappy cage heel to pair with skirts, dresses or skinny pants. Hard to pick one color!

  3. Button-down blouse in "First Date" print ($26.99): The print is SO Prabal and you want something that's recognizable when shopping these designer collabs! Layer with a white blazer and leggings or tuck into a skirt with heels.

  4. Sleeveless dress in "Meet the Parents" print ($44.99): This dress is so flattering and visually slims the waist. The print is bold and very Prabal but the black and white color palette give it versatility.

  5. Ankle Strap Wedge in Apple ($29.99): These pop color wedges are chic and modern - comfortable too! You'll get so much wear out of these during spring and summer.

I was able to get four pairs of shoes and the shirtdress online. I was sad that all the floral splash pieces were sold out (the dress and blazer) and had issues adding the peplum top to my cart - it said I had too many when I had none - then it was taken out of my cart after I finally got one added. I'm planning to stop in my local store this morning to see if I have any luck there.

Just shopped the collection at my local store. Alert: My store (in Milwaukee) had some of the shoes, even they were supposed to be online only! They didn't have the specific pair I'd wanted, but the shoes look fab in person!

I ended up buying the floral-and-illusion-net tank. I was super-bummed about all the dresses, because they're really cute but I had fit issues with all of them. :-(

I just bought the Prabal print pumps online and I am sooooo excited to rock them in the office next week - they'll give my usual work outfits a little extra oomph! ;-)

I love this line! I bought the teal/coral dress, black/white wedges, blue heels, print dress, sweatshirt and skirt, the shorts with the shirt, and the Nolita print shirt. I was first in line of 7 in South Carolina! Lol

I did a combo of online/in-store shopping (even though I got my top pics online, I just couldn't help myself this morning. Overall, I think the cuts are super-flatting. Especially for us "hippie" girls, the skirt in the meet the parents print flares out oh-so-gracefully!

I bought the shirt dress (Nolita print) online on a whim so I'm curious to see the fit when it arrives. I didn't see it in either of the two stores I visited. I think some of the pieces looked better in person than photographed, which is an unusual and pleasant surprise!

I placed some faith in Target's website (something I swore I'd never do after Missoni) and waited up until it was released. Ordering was very smooth for me (at 2:30 a.m. est) but I am a bit afraid they will cancel my order (after what happened with my Missoni orders). I got the lace up shoes in the nolita print, perfect for my style. I got the black and white wedges. I also got the red and yellow ankle strap heels. I'll see what fits and return the rest. I got the turquoise/coral dress, the black and white dress, the color block pencil skirt, some sweaters, and the peplum top. I went to target to see it in person this morning and the fit of some of the dresses won't work for me. But I love the peplum top! It was fun to be this excited about such an affordable collection!

I am loving this collab! I am a print and coloraholic...so it was hard to narrow my choices down! Did get the First Date print blouse, the First Date print dress, the Black dress with the wild Prabal Gurung signature print down the middle, the cool paint splatter clutch, and the peplum top. Bought some in store and some online...and like someone else said, I am really hoping orders don't get cancelled because everything I bought online sold out pretty quickly after! Pull through for me Target! Now I am awaiting thr Duro Olowau collab for JcP!

I waited up until they released it online this morning, had everything I wanted in my cart, but decided to chance the store instead. The times I have ordered from the designer collections they've sent me the wrong item/size, and of course by the time I received it the item is completely sold out. I arrived at the store at about 7:15 am and was 2nd in line. I'd say it was about 40 deep by the time the store opened. There wasn't a crazy frenzy like Missoni, but people definitely had their games faces on. I ended up buying the blazer, sweatshirt, shirtdress, and the sleeveless "meet the parents" blouse above. I saw one pair of the shorts hanging on the rack when I was leaving so I grabbed them without trying them on. So glad I did, they're really cute on!

I went 4 hours after they opened on Sunday. A lot of the florals had few sizes left and I luckily got the bright colored sleeveless dress in my size. Had one left.
I wanted the black chiffon one with the multi mirror floral print but they didn't have my size. I didn't see the choral and blue dress and the floral shorts at all. I did get the black see through top with the bright mirror floral print tank top and the black floral lace booties. I thought people would have been burned out,
But guess not!

OMG. I love those cagey shoes. And under $40? I wish we have that here in Canada!

A few weeks I e-mailed the Target CEO [email protected] about my frustration with items you can't purchase there, but are on E Bay within minutes.....
His office responded in a day or two.
Maybe if more people voiced their frustration, these issues will finally be addressed.

Do you mean the items that weren't in store? Yeah a lot of items were not in my store. I didn't get the point of that...

Sigh. No love for the plus-size gals.

@Michelle - If I ever got to design a line for Target (dreaming) I would definitely include plus size...
