Fashion week can be such a tease sometimes. The designers are a season ahead so what came down the runways last week in New York is actually for fall later this year. But there was one trend that you can easily incorporate now: black and gold.
Black and gold was everywhere from the clothing to the makeup. At Reem Acra (1), gowns were bedazzled with glamorous shine. At Alice + Olivia (2), there was black and gold clothing and even black Essie manicures with gold polka dot nail art! At Tracy Reese (3), gold glitter eye makeup mimicked the sparkly dresses and metallic footwear.
The easiest (and most budget friendly!) way to get a head start on the trend is through accessories and beauty. Update your little black dress with a statement belt ($42) or Deco clutch ($48). Have more of a casual lifestyle? A gold scarf ($19.99) looks great with jeans and a sweater!
For beauty, do a DIY mani with a nail art set ($10) or add a swipe of gold glitter eyeliner ($14) for a night out.
