Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: Volumizing Mascara

DiorShow Splurge vs. Steal

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products (and their high-end equivalents!) that are available online and in-store. This week, we’re chatting Dior DiorShow mascara and its beauty dupe. Also make sure to check out my newly revamped blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.
When you ask anyone what their favorite mascara is, the answer is almost always Dior DiorShow, and with good reason. Known as the “big show” mascara, Dior created a product that really does lengthen and thicken lashes. Truly. Now, I don’t know about you guys but I go through a tube of mascara prettttty quickly and so spending $25 a tube can get really costly. I recently tried L’Oreal Paris Voluminous mascara ($8.49, drugstore.com) and I gotta tell you, it’s SUPER close to DiorShow. For about one-third of the price, L’Oreal’s version similarly lengthens and thickens lashes and, according to L’Oreal, they thicken lashes up to four times their natural thickness, which is pretty amazing.

Have you tried either mascara? Which is your favorite?

I've never tried the DiorShow but the L'Oreal one has been my go-to mascara for years!

Both were pretty average to me. For a drugstore brand, my HG is CG Lash blast!

Dior DiorShow may seem a little expensive but it definitely worth it...
