What's On My Fall Fashion Wish List: 12 Picks Under $85

Fall Fashion Wishlist: Picks Under $85

Autumn is my favorite season to dress for, mostly because I love being able to bundle up and still look cute. Don’t get me wrong, I fully embrace the yoga pants and hoodies, but fall fashion is all about boots, scarves, coats, and sweaters that are chic—not drab like that dreary cool weather outside your window. Temperature and precipitation should dictate our look! So, peruse the assortment of items that made the top of my list for this season and be inspired. What is your fall closet calling for?

Fall 2014 Fashion Wish List

1. Chic Wish White Belted Coat $83
Not only is white allowed after Labor Day; ALL-white ensembles are fully embraced! Lately I have been drooling over such outfits all over Pinterest. I love the belt on this coat to accentuate the waist yet it’s still somewhat big and cozy.

2. Tobi No Worries Fringed Shawl $50
Fringe cardigans became particularly intriguing for me after seeing one on Jamie Chung (which I mimicked in this Dress by Number post). This one gives off whimsical fall vibes in a lovely red hue and pattern along the edge. Its drapey fit also leaves lots of opportunity for layering.

3. Gap 1969 Sexy Boyfriend Jeans $40 (Down from $80)
After much hesitation, I finally snagged myself a pair of boyfriend jeans last month. Now I may not go back to tight jeans! Okay, kidding. But really, who doesn't love a little extra wiggle room? And I dare you to try to resist such a great discount on a pair of Gap jeans.

4. H&M Sweatpants $15
I despised the idea of hammer pants when the trend first came out a few years ago. But these sweatpants and/or joggers I can live with since the bagginess doesn't look like I'm wearing a diaper. Buy these in multiple colors or materials and you could honestly wear sweatpants every day without sacrificing style!

5. Uniqlo Flannel Checkered Shirt $30
Nevermind that I already own four or five plaid tops…I’ve been dying to add a festive green one to the collection. Plus, Uniqulo is currently running a two for $49 deal! I like to have different ones in varying sizes so depending on what I'm going for in a look, I have the option of an oversized or fitted one.

6. ZARA Croc Bucket Bag $40
The crocodile texture on this bag adds a level of sophistication that makes it appear more expensive than it actually is! Larger totes are my favorite, but I find I am on the go so much that mid-sized bags like this one with an optional crossbody strap are the most convenient.

7. Unisa Gillean Over The Knee Boot $50
Consider an over-the-knee in basic black for your next pair of new boots. They are still super versatile and should have a bit of a tight but stretchy fit. Two reasons why you'll love them: 1. You can now wear mini skirts in cold weather, and 2. They help achieve a sexy, long and slender look, without looking trashy.

8. Mossimo Supply Co. V-Neck Sweater $20
Fall mode has me yearning for something in a mustard yellow color! I feel like it might be a tough color for me to pull off with my skin tone and hair, but a sweater at a price like this makes it worth the try. The simplicity also works for me because it can be layered under a light jacket and scarf and not draw too much attention to it.

9. DailyLook Tribal Knit Infinity Scarf $20
Infinity scarves are a genius creation from the Fashion Gods. I rarely buy normal ones anymore! And no print says fall like tribal! Neutral is my color palette of choice; I find I can match it with more and not worry about color clashing with the rest of my wardrobe.

10. Forever 21 Faux Leather Varsity Jacket $40
The preppy school-girl look is on the rise, and celebs are all over it too. I have my letterman jacket from high school, but it would be little weird if I wore that in public! Thankfully my favorite retailers have feminine jackets that achieve the same tomboyish style with feminine flair. Wear them with skinny jeans and sporty sneakers, like a pair of Chucks or Vans.

11. Report ‘Cullen’ Bootie $60
Everyone needs a pair of cutout booties! They are huge on the street style scene as the edgy and tough transformation of the heeled bootie, especially when they have hardware and metal detailing. I have many pairs of shoes in black and cognac/brown, so I thought this natural color was a nice change of pace for my feet!

12. Topshop Romantic Floral Bodycon Dress $60
You must own dark floral patterns this fall! Bodycon dresses have reached the equivalent with underwear as a wardrobe necessity—and they often reveal the same amount of skin too. Yikes! Topshop does classy with this one though, accentuating the body in a longer length and making it wearable for cooler weather.
