Accessory Steal of the Week: White Fedora

Sydne Summer's white hat, white faux fur coat and black over the knee boots

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly steal that’s available online or in-stores. This week, we’re talking hats. Make sure to check out my blog SydneStyle.com for more fashion inspiration!

I know I’ve talked about fedoras before in this column. But with this crazy weather, I can’t stop buying hats! Luckily there are so many affordable options to choose from.

When I was at fashion week, I was freezing. I had a beanie but I wanted to something more chic. I popped into H&M and found a white felt hat with gold trim for under $25. I couldn’t believe it. It was almost identical to my designer one that my friend bought me for my birthday… just with a $150 price difference!

The gold metal details make the hat look way more expensive. Unfortunately only the plain one is now available online. But you can buy it in store or do a quick DIY project by adding metal piping instead of ribbon.

The reason I love white is because it will carry you into the next season. Right now it looks so pretty against the winter snow. And come spring you can wear it with jeans and a tee to make your every day outfit a little more chic.

I was going to say, fedora hats are so versatile, one of those rare pieces that you can wear all year round. They're also great for those not so good hair days! ;-)
