Target has done a fabulous job unveiling the entire 250-piece Lilly Pulitzer collection - which includes resort-inspired clothing, jewelry, makeup, hair accessories, beach towels and housewares - in a delightful brand shop on Target.com (bookmark it for April 19th!) I especially love the interactive "virtual party" that lets you wander through a raucous Palm Beach fête while discovering items from the collection (I even spotted Big from SATC on my second go around...clever and fun!) You've probably already made your wishlists, but I thought I'd share my favorite pieces from the collection, from what I'll actually buy to what I'd buy if I were living the Lilly life:
My (somewhat practical) shopping list:
1. Fan Dance Shift Dress, $38: This dress looks like something straight out of the real Lilly collection, from the print to the silhouette. I hope the fabric is nice in person.
2. Pineapple Sandals, $30: I'm a sucker for anything pineapple so these are a no-brainer, plus they'll match just about anything in your summer wardrobe, from shorts to dresses.
3. Pineapple Serving Dish, $30: See above. Pineapples!
4. Giraffe Bottle Opener, $10: It's not like I don't already own a million bottle openers but this one would look so fresh on a bar cart, and would make a great conversation starter when hosting a party.
5. Essie Polish in First Timer, $8.49: Tell me it won't be hard to resist picking up a new nail polish (or two) to go with your new Lilly dresses?!
6. Cocktail Glasses with Gold Rim (set of 4), $30: Festive glasses make those everyday moments feel fancy and special, so I'd use these for sipping sparkling water in the summertime with my husband.
Want but can't have (boohoo):
1. Hammock, $150: I'd love to replace my hubby's hippy hammock (sorry hun) with this chic design, but can I really justify the price?!
2. Patio Umbrella, $100: Together with the hammock and beach chairs, this would dress up my outdoor space in the Lilliest of ways.
3. Teak Beach Chair, $60: Lounging would be dreamy in these chairs.
4. Happy Place Straw Tote, $30: The price is on point with this tote but I'm not sure I'd get enough use out of it to justify the purchase. You buy it!
5. Gold Espadrille Wedges, $36: I can see these selling out fast if they're comfortable and look well-made in person. A summer staple.
6. Weekender Bag, $50: Another bag I'd love to own but don't necessarily need. It could double as a diaper bag, too!
Tell me, what's on your wishlist??
