Rory Beca, Vince, Paige Denim and Other Legit Brand Sightings at T.J. Maxx

Cute fashions at T.J.Maxx
Confession: I've often thought to myself that once you see a given brand at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls, it just isn't "cool" anymore. Am I alone on this? Sure, I'm thrilled when I find a deal from a designer I love at my local store, but a part of me wonders how it ended up there, at a discount. But during a recent trip, I started to reevaluate my theory when I came upon a couple displays at the front of the store that were stocked with summer styles from Rory Beca, James Perse, Splendid, Joe's Jeans, Paige Denim, C&C California, Young Fabulous & Broke, and Vince. These are still legit brands, right? They're still super pricey and sold at the fancy department stores (Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc.) I may never know the inner workings of off-price retailers but for now I'm content just to see these labels on their racks.

And, if you're like me and prefer to pay even less for random, unrecognizable brands so long as the stuff is cute, keep scrolling for pics from the juniors section where I think almost everything I photographed was $20 and under!

The other day I found a lily pulitzer dress for seventy dollars! It was past season, but still. When I went to look at the maxi dresses, I found two more lily dresses. I was shocked!

I've always thought the same thing about these types of stores. Or, at least that the clothes are from still good brands, but out of date styles. Great finds!

I totally agree with you! Before several years, I was giving all my salary on expensive clothes from the top brands. But one-day everything change, one of my friends came with amazing dress, when I ask her from where she bought it, she show me one small retail store, there everything was cheaper and with better quality.

I'd like to know at which TJ Maxx you found all of those treasures.
The one near my house has nothing that nice!

I always wonder about why certain brands or items make their way into discount stores...but I still get excited to see them. I've scored some great things by scouring the racks, and it looks like you came across some great finds!

LOVE TJMaxx! I scored a white Lily Pulitzer strapless crochet maxi dress from a TJMaxx a couple weeks ago... it was further marked down with a red clearance tag from the TJ price. Only $50 so I was thrilled. I also picked up a nice denim blue James Perse tee that had a $100+ SRP, but I got it for only $5 thanks to another one of those red clearance tags. It's usually feast or famine for me there, but I love the hunt!

I never have any luck at the local TJMaxx/Marshalls. Maybe it's just the Great Lakes states but they seem to carry a bizarre, dated mishmash of clothes that most definitely aren't with the season. They do not really inspire me, and maybe the supply economics for those discount stores favour very mature fashions versus the fun ones. Derek Heart dominates our juniors section, and there's not much worthy of wearing to work in either women's department.

Even other committed bargain hunter friends feel a bit gypped. We only seem to find the odd designer brand and it's usually an XS (definitely not our size). I noticed in California and Washington, the selection is far broader with an interesting array of options.

It has to be a " Runway " tj maxx or you will not score the labels . Reason these names become avail. are because of yes past season stuff taking up too much room , or irregular sized items manufactured ,put into a "purgatory" bin . Simple stuff like color may be off, or its off the accepted wiggle room scale for running big or small
.Any thing else ends up going to the recycling bin .
I'd say $29 for a$250 item is close to being free of charge ,because essentially your only paying the tax on what that item costs brand new .
I score major league free amounts of incredible
labels ,and no one is wearing them because Yes
it's past season ,and no longer avail .
Sometimes albeit rare,
you'll find stuff made here in the US, but for other countries only , and they end up at discount stores . No one will be wearing these items at your university or place of employement, or hood unless it is a fluke .
