I could pair these ankle boots with tailored separates for a minimalist, menswear inspired look. Yes, a new fall season is a reason to fall in love with boots all over again and start dreaming about the perfect wardrobe. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many great looking styles Kohl's has in stock right now, and everything was on sale (I think the sale ends August 30th). They're advertising the lowest prices of the season. Plus you'll want to check out the gold star clearance racks where items are an additional 20% off low prices. I couldn't even push my stroller between the racks, they were so tightly packed with clothes (and it was my tiny umbrella stroller) so I stuck to shoes on this trip and picked up a pair of sparkly Apt. 9 sandals for $15.90.

The only collections I completely passed up were shoes by Jennifer Lopez and Juicy Couture. Neither offered anything that was my style. Apt. 9 had strong offerings as did Chaps but I'd wait for those prices to drop a bit more. Candie's is rocking this season with the latest trends, very reasonably priced from around $25-$40 on sale.
