Target One Spot Gets A Makeover: Here's What My Store Looks Like

Target One Spot gets a makeover
By now you've surely noticed that Target has given their One Spot a makeover, reorganizing the aisles, making it a bit bigger, and renaming it "Bullseye's Playground." My son was the first to notice the giant displays atop each shelf featuring Bullseye, Target's canine mascot, wriggling inside gift boxes. As Target reports on their blog, Bullseye's Playground will be a bit pricier, with items ranging from $1 to $5. Displays will update every 8 weeks around "holidays, seasonal mindset and kids." I don't love the price increases but I appreciate the fact that I can fit a cart around the aisle. On the other hand, the closed layout was better for containing my two-year old. Now if he wants to pick out toys, I have to chase him around in circles! It's the little things, right? Read on to see more pics I snapped at two Target locations near me. Do you like the new One Spot? Miss the old one? What changes would you like to see?

Interesting... while my local stores have all the new signage + new merchandise, the racks are the same. In other words: all my nearby stores still have the older "enclosed" layout.

Congrats BB! Didn't know where to put this message since I don't have Instrgram, no SmartPhone...what a wonderful surprise! He appears to be a big, healthy boy, and perfect little brother! Happy motherhood and Thanksgiving!

Oh thank you so much Margot!! Sorry I'm a bit behind on things. I'm happy to say we are doing well. Thanks for your support and kind words, wishing you a wonderful holiday season as well. xo

I prefer the enclosed space too. It feels more like you're getting a deal. I'm not sure how higher prices and not being able to see all the merchandise at once is an advantage for me/us the consumer. Unless there's something great on the end I walk by I'd prob pass up a round section like this every time.

I am definitely not crazy about the new section. I felt like you used to get a better deal. My daughter used to love going in and finding little toys and trinkets. It was also perfect for little treats and prizes for my students. I hope they return it back to the $1 spot after the holidays.
