While you were busy sleeping (shame on you), your favorite fashion bloggers were busy shopping and sharing their favorite finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, a mega shopping event that kicks off today for Nordstrom credit and debit cardholders.

This annual event is ridiculously popular because new fall arrivals are deeply discounted for a limited time during the sale and prices increase to the regular ticket price after the sale is done. Early access is from July 14th to the 22nd, then the sale opens up to everyone from July 22nd through August 8th.

I plan on shopping both online (free shipping! and returns!) and in-person, and I'll share my finds here on the blog as well as Instagram and Snapchat (@budgetbabe). Honestly, I'm more than a little underwhelmed this year with the NSale. I was really looking forward to some good discounts on higher end designer bags and what they did have, didn't really blow me away. the same for the clothes, there's nothing that's really caught my eye. Very surprised they didn't offer some cuter "traditional" fur vests since those were so popular last year. Overall, rather ho hum.

I agree. The sale is not as good this year. Maybe they should start doing it every other year and really get some good stuff in there. I picked up a moto jacket by BP, some earrings, and the halogen turtleneck. I really like those turtlenecks, but their full price is way too much for what it is, so I was glad to see that in the sale in emerald green again. I think they had that color before, but it sold out pretty quick. I guess I should be glad it wasn't that great of a selection, I got in and out spending less than a $100 dollars.

I've shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for years, close to 10 years, and I think this year is one of the most disappointing so far. If I had based my thoughts on the sale catalog exclusively, I might have skipped the sale entirely. It was very focused on high end items. Thankfully the online preview looks better so I'll reserve judgement until after I get over there tomorrow.

I wish I could shop this with you! I love so many things but it's hard to pull the trigger when it's 95 degrees outside!

I got that Leith peasant top, it's gorgeous, worth EVERY penny. It was sold out,but I went to the store and my Nordstrom rep Christine was able to find one for me. Big love for Nordstrom customer service.

Amazing! This is what I'm discovering, too. The saddle bag I wanted was sold out but I called customer service and they connected me with a store in Jersey that still had it in stock, I placed my order within minutes and the bag arrived days later. I'm very impressed.
