As another year comes to an end, it's time to look back at the top style influencers of 2016 - the celebrities who inspired our daily "look for less" recreations the most with their enviable yet attainable fashion sense. We crunched the numbers and these top 10 starlets and supermodels came out on top, from Alessandra Ambrosio's casual boho-chic sensibility to Gigi Hadid's edgy, envelope-pushing ensembles. Read on to see who made the list and why, plus my personal favorites who made fashion in 2016 so much fun!
1. Alessandra Ambrosio
Readers couldn't get enough of Alessandra Ambrosio's relaxed boho style that was always effortless and on-trend. The sixties and seventies influenced fashion in a big way in 2016, and Alessandra always interpreted the decades in ways that looked modern and fresh, whether in a band jacket and raw-edge denim, a suede mini skirt and lace-up flats, or a concert tee and cut-offs.

2. Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon charmed us with her updated Southern belle style that was always feminine and classic with a twist. The star was often spotted showcasing pieces from her own Draper James line which soared in popularity in 2016. Readers loved Reese's sense of color, print mixing and tailored silhouettes.

3. Gigi Hadid
From the runways to magazine covers to the streets, Gigi Hadid was one of the top faces in fashion for 2016. If you want to know what's next in fashion, just look at what Gigi's wearing. 2016 was also arguably the year of athleisure, and Gigi Hadid rocked this trend like no other, in bomber jackets and bodysuits paired with structured separates and unexpected extras.

4. Olivia Palermo
Olivia Palermo is a perennial fashion favorite, a global darling on the street style scene. The past year was no exception as Olivia continued to endear fans with her impeccable mix of current trends and lasting classics. She may be the reason why we have a fur pom pom keychain and platform sneakers.

5. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was another supermodel who made our list thanks to outstanding airport style and her ability to elevate denim with pretty tops and amazing shoes and handbags. She embraced the cold-shoulder and off-the-shoulder trends of 2016 and made them look chic and glam every single time.

6. Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner was the member of the Kardashian clan who stole the spotlight in 2016 with her model career on fleek. A member of the Gigi Hadid girl squad, Kendall also embraced the athleisure trend mixing sporty with chic for a forward-thinking style that's totally her own. Everyone took notes.

7. Miranda Kerr
Miranda Kerr epitomized model-off-duty chic with her mix of sexy basics like leather leggings and army jackets. I was also impressed with her subtle take on nineties trends, wearing things like bell-sleeve blouses and choker necklaces and high-waist distressed jeans in ways that were unexpectedly modern and glam. Snaps all around.

8. Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham had a lot of popular looks towards the end of 2016, always showing a restrained elegance and chic edge we could only dream of attaining. But copy her we tried. She was the queen of the turtleneck trend as well as a monochromatic maven. Her outfits will still be copy-worthy in 2017 and beyond.

9. Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba is one of our favorites because she's a mom and all-around "girl boss" who loves the latest trends and wears them in ways we can totally imitate. Whether it's a wide-leg palazzo pant or a mashup of lace and a leather jacket, we love a good Jessica Alba look any day of the week.

10. Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen gets the award for most amazing over-the-knee boot outfits ever, even though we have no actual data to back this up. The new mom always traveled in style with a chic, boho vibe and the best accessories, a hallmark of great celebrity street style. We can't wait to see what she wears in 2017!

Honorable mentions go to Taylor Swift for her modern-retro vibes, Emily Ratajkowski for her model-off-duty style, Hailey Baldwin for crafting the most inimitable ensembles, and Karlie Kloss for werking a wide-leg pant like no other. I was also excited to see Nicky Hilton Rothschild return to the scene with her socialite-style on point.
