Plenty by Tracy Reese for Keds

Left: Looks from Plenty by Tracy Reese for Keds; Designer Tracy Reese

Fashion designer Tracy Reese is collaborating with Keds to create a new line of fun footwear, Plenty by Tracy Reese for Keds, which will include peep-toe wedge sneakers, skimmers and ballet flats inspired by elements from her Spring 2009 collection. Prices will range from $65 to $80, and the line will be available in March 2009 at keds.com, Tracy Reese boutiques and select department and specialty stores nationwide.

"Keds has a unique feminine aesthetic coupled with fun, whimsical designs," said Reese. "I am thrilled to collaborate with such an iconic brand and excited about fusing the Plenty by Tracy Reese eclectic and wordly designs with casual footwear."

Ms. Reese definitely rocks, but I'm not really a fan of Keds. I'd rather see her do a line for Target. And why is everything "iconic" these days? That word is so played out.

I love Tracy Reese and her clothes but I'm not much of a sneaker person. Definitely agree with BB that a Tracy Reese Go Collection would be something more exciting.

Gawd...no...No Target for Tracy Reese, please....I've worked too hard to loose enough weight to wear her designs and Betsy Johnson. The last thing I want is to see ill-fitting, poorly made Tracy Reese being passed off as fashion from Target.

I know, I love Target for their tees, swimsuits and Mizrahi line (sadly that is going away), their shoes and handbags...but no, no, no to Tracy Reese.

Oh wait - the original post - I don't care for Keds - those were cool back in the 80s/90s. However, I love the silver sandals she's sporting in the picture.

And since it's been bugging me - why the heck don't these designers make clothes they can actually wear? But that's another rant for another day.

Ha. No lie. The whole flippin' world is "iconic" these days.

The ankle strap ones are so cute. I don't really buy alot of sneakers or canvas flats - but I will buy those!! I hope they are affordable. Tracy Reese is so expensive. Even her lower price line "Plenty" is too high for my budget.

I'm a big fan of Target clothes and Tracy Reese. Her Plenty collection is great. I just saw a bunch from that line on hautelook.com. They have great deals up to 75% off.
