The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opened today to the public, so I wanted to round up my top picks from the sale now that everyone can shop - not just cardholders!
For years, I waited and watched as everyone else in the world shopped "Early Access." Finally the FOMO (fear of missing out) got to me, and I signed up for a Nordstrom card. This year I shopped early and I guess I have good taste because everything I bought is already sold out, with the exception of these ankle boots (available in a few limited sizes) and this Kendra Scott pendant (I bought the gold color which is backordered).
The other (and much more probable) explanation for my early access picks being sold out is that Nordstrom's sale tactics work really well. They build up the hype and people shop, shop, shop! That's not to say the deals aren't real or good. They are. But the pressure to shop early is real and if stuff didn't sell out, there would be little incentive for shoppers.
So what sold out? Everything with the word "blush" in it. Blush cardigans, sweaters, tops, you name it. Inexpensive accessories like scarves (the leopard and a blush pink plaid were super popular this year). And fall must-have like cardigans and ankle boots.
Okay, so now that I've bummed you out (sorry LOL)...here's the good news! There are still lots of great deals! Check out my picks and tell me what you're still hoping to buy. I don't quite know when or how certain items get restocked, but keep checking - you may get lucky!
