Target will be introducing more than a dozen new brands over the next 18 months or so, starting this fall with A New Day (a women's collection which I reviewed in this post), Goodfellow & Co. for the gents, and the home decor line you see here called Project 62.
Named for the year Target was born, Project 62 features "thoughtfully designed, approachable modern home pieces for everyday life. The assortment is hyper-focused on making environments effortlessly functional through smart solutions for urban, small-space living."
Project 62 includes more than 1,200 pieces ranging in price from $2.99-$699.99, available online Sept. 16 and in stores starting Sept. 19.
From these lookbook photos I see a lot of potential...Target is hitting all the right notes with marble, brass, and midcentury modern silhouettes.
On a personal note, we're actually in the process of buying a new house. I've done small-space living (not really by choice LOL) my whole life and very soon we will be nearly tripling our living space to accommodate our growing family. It's scary but exciting.
Needless to say I will be so eager to decorate my new space but money will be tight, so Target will be first and foremost on my list. I'm already a big Threshold fan and it matches my aesthetic better than Project 62 but I can't wait to see the goods in store. I just hope they make some kid-friendly pieces because all the jagged corners, glass and minimalism in the lookbook does not bode well for a family with two boys under 5!
What do you guys think of Project 62 so far?
