BB's Weekly Fashion Link Round-Up: The Velvet Trend, Weekend Sales and More

We're loving the velvet trend for fall 2017.
1. Mules // 2. Velvet Pumpkin // 3. Velvet Over-the-Knee Boots // 4. Velvet Ottoman // 5. Velvet Platform Heels // 6. Velvet Top // 7. Velvet Bag // 8. Velvet Chair

This weekend we're vibing on velvet and browsing the latest sales. Keyword: Browsing. No shopping until we're finished moving to our new home!

First, some links worth reading...

College Fashion shares sage advice to help you unplug, stop online shopping and enjoy fall. (Granted, my sales round-up probably isn't helping!)

I Don't Know How She Does It is styling her front porch for fall with Better Homes and Gardens at Walmart finds.

Sydne Style shows us how to wear the velvet trend this fall.

Corporette shares comfortable workwear for late nights.

House of Harper is pretty in pumpkin spice.

The Kit has pics of the Selena Gomez x Coach collection.

SheFinds reports Coach has changed its name (but it's not what you think).

This made me laugh! White slipcovers are NOT easy to keep clean, according to this blogger.

Speaking of which, I can't decide whether to get leather or slipcovers for my new couch. Remember I have two rambunctious boys and a large Boxer. Help!?

If you want my opinion on the sofa (I love giving my opinion on anything, just ask me!) I would go with leather. The sofas are both priced the same, if you're worried about stains, claw marks, etc, could always use cover when kids and boxer are up there, (by the way, should your dog be on the couch?) Kids can be trained also to respect new sofa, just saying. Happy decorating, hope you aren't too exhausted after your big move, how exciting

Thanks Margot! We went to see the leather in person yesterday and didn't love it. Once you see a Restoration Hardware leather couch I guess you're ruined forever haha! But we did get the gray slipcovers. Everyone says they are easy to machine wash and dry! Kids are certainly "in training." My dog is, um, funny. He won't dare go on the furniture - unless we are not home. We caught him once on camera hopping up there the moment we left! Sneaky. I'll definitely be asking for more opinions, always welcome yours!

Good choice! Dogs are a riot that way, does Baxter have a guilty look on his face?! Glad you are getting settled in, take your time, you've got awhile to make choices....take care.
