While I blog for business, I'm also on a tight budget myself and so I like to shop responsibly. Having said that, last year I was really happy with my purchases and for the first time in my life, I actually had a solid fall/winter wardrobe before the season began. It was kind of awesome.

So this year I went for similar pieces...cardigans, new booties, a new military jacket, jeans, scarf, and a new little necklace just for fun. Kind of boring but I'm telling you, I loved everything I got last year and felt "put together" all season long. These "Nordstrom" girls are on to something! I'll share what I've learned by watching the "pros"...

- If you see something, snag it fast. Stuff sells out quickly. You can always return what you don't love (free shipping and free returns)

- Even the top bloggers tend to just stock up on basics - tees, sweaters, boots, jeans. Bras and leggings are other popular categories with real savings.

- Stalk your favorite influencers for tips on beauty deals, too.

- Don't get caught up in the hype! Have fun and treat yourself within reason, ladies!
