Usually when I order clothes online, I always return at least one item. Not this time! My Nordstrom Sale picks did not fail me and I'll tell you now: if there are sizes left in any of these items, go for it! Since the stock is dwindling down at this point, I have suggestions for alternatives, along with some quick styling ideas!
For size reference: I am 5’8” and 149 lbs.
I love the slightly oversized fit and rounded hem on this v-neck. If this one holds up well over time I will happily purchase another at the after sale price of $17. My rule is always say yes to a great basic tee since they can be worn year-round and styled so many ways. The Raw Edge Tee is picked through on the Nordstrom site, but you can find quality tees like this elsewhere! Some of my faves are from Madewell and American Eagle.
This cardigan was a little more oversized than I would have normally gone for, but I was prepared for that knowing I bought I size up from normal. It will still be perfect for cozy fall days and lots of layering (bring on the scarves!) This fabric is incredibly soft and surprisingly stretchy, too. Madewell is one of my favorite brands and they do mark down their items sometimes, so keep an eye on their website too!
Wow. You guys. I'm super pumped about this one because I've been so picky with moto jackets in the past and never could find the right one. It looks more expensive than it actually is, and it has just the right amount of detailing with extra zippers and quilting without looking too bulky or feeling heavy. My arms and shoulders have plenty of room to move around, too. If you’re on the fence with this one, I'd say leap because this jacket is beautiful. And all sizes are still available, including petites! Biker jackets will look great over floral dresses and pretty tops for a edgy/soft contrast, and in the fall with a high-neck sweater or basic layers and a scarf!
When I saw that the suede ankle was floppy instead of stiff in Dianna’s review, I got a little worried…but the ankles on mine seem to stand up on their own. I’m worried in time they will start to keel over…but for now, I’m going to enjoy these beautiful boots with dresses throughout the rest of the summer before transitioning into skinny jeans. Comfortable heel height and fit was TTS, although I could have gotten a 9 and been okay with a little bit of a thicker sock.
I’m thrilled about this baseline wardrobe I was able to put together from the sale. Next year I will prepare better and save up for this event because I truly believe in spending a little more on quality basics that will last a lot longer. However, don’t fret if you missed out – you can easily find similar pieces from other stores for similar (or even better) prices! I think we miss that when we get caught up in the hype around the Nordstrom Sale.

This was the item I was most nervous about not working out – thank goodness for stretch fabric! A lot of times I have an issue with skinny jeans being too loose around the calves or too tight in the waist, but these fit like a glove from top to bottom! The high waist hits in the ideal spot and I love that they are plain so I can dress them up or down very easily. These will be in the rotation a lot this fall! I paired them with my V-neck tee tucked into the front, the Madewell cardigan, and black ankle boots.
