9 (New!) Money Saving Tips I'm Using Right Now

Ways to save on organic produce, everyday purchases, fashion and more
Now that we're a family of five, it's becoming more necessary than ever to shop smart and spend wisely! Here are some of the new ways I'm saving money right now on everything from organic produce to the latest fashion trends.

9 (New!) Money Saving Tips I'm Using Right Now

1. To save on a recent family trip to the local science museum, I used my library card to "check out" a pass good for 20% off admission. Check your local library to get money-saving passes for local attractions, zoos, museums and more. And have you heard of Museum Day? Get free admission on September 21, 2019, for two people to participating museums across the country. Details here.

2. I recently discovered Target's Drive Up service and it's a game changer! If you're in a hurry, the weather is bad, or you have a sleeping baby in the car, just place your order online or in the Target app. Then, drive up and a store associate brings your items right to your car. This is a great way to avoid impulse buys and save a lot of time! Cartwheel deals (found in the Target app) and in-store offers also apply to most drive-up orders!

3. I'm kind of obsessed with Fetch Rewards. You use your phone camera to scan all your receipts (or sync online receipts) and earn points for purchases. I'll admit, I don't earn many points (I've earned a $5 amazon gift card but it took almost 6 months LOL) BUT it's a great way to track your grocery spending! Charts by month, store, etc. Use my referral code, CW0JM, during signup and you'll get 2,000 Fetch Points ($2.00 in points!) just for starting. Download Fetch Rewards free here.

4. I've mentioned ButcherBox on my Instagram Stories - it's a premium meat subscription box that often offers insane deals like "free ground beef for life" (1 lb organic grass-fed beef in every shipment). You can use my referral link to sign up and get $30 off your first order!

5. Maybe you've heard of the ugly produce trend? Well I just jumped on board with Misfits Market! Slightly imperfect organic fruits and veggies that don't make the shelves (but are perfectly good to eat) get delivered to your doorstep at a discount - up to 40% cheaper than grocery store prices. If you want to give it a try, use my referral code to save on your first box!

5. By now we're all Amazon Prime members, right?! But are you taking advantage of Amazon Subscriptions? I use Amazon Subscriptions to save up to 20% on repeat orders for things like diapers, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, vitamins and more.

6. Speaking of Amazon, you can now return many Amazon purchases to your Kohl's store. This can save on shipping. I did it today for the first time and got a 25% off coupon good for any Kohl's store brand! I used it to buy this adorable graphic tee for just $6!

7. I'm a HUGE Aldi fan. Diehard. And now they're on Instacart! I used to think Instacart was a fancy costly service for "the elite" but it has saved me hours of shopping and it's saved me money, too! I can meal plan more effectively and stick to the plan, rather than forgetting items for recipes or buying extra stuff that doesn't work within certain recipes. No impulse buys. Just what's on my list. And I can compare prices across the stores in my area with the click of a button. It's a lifesaver! I can even shop at warehouse club stores like BJ's without paying for a BJ's membership. Here's my Instacart referral link in case you'd like to give it a try - get $10 off your first order when you do!

8. For fashion, I'm loving Walmart (as I'm sure you know!). They've really stepped up their game in just the past year. I love their Wonder Nation brand for kids and Time and Tru for me. Just yesterday I noticed they launched a new online collection with Scoop NYC that features the latest trends starting at $19. I love the Walmart app, too. You can scan receipts to keep track of purchases and make returns easier. I also scan items in store to see if an item might be priced lower than marked (this happens often with clearance items)!

9. Most Instagram influencers share exclusive coupon codes for fans. Check their Highlights; I've even saved a few of my own exclusive Budget Babe coupon codes to my Highlight reel called "Coupons". For example, save 20% off at fashionjunkee.com with code XOBABE at checkout.
