2022 Fashion Trends Worth Trying
Wide Leg Jeans | You heard the news: skinny jeans are out. Well, we're not letting go of ours anytime soon, but we are embracing new denim and pant trends from hi-rise straight to wide leg flares and everything in between.
Sweater Vests | We saw a lot of sweater vests in 2021 and they're back for 2022. Great for the office, zoom or the weekend.
Mini Bags | Part of the '90s revival as well as the '70s throwback looks (many decades to choose from these days!) Try a mini purse juxtaposed with structured oversized sportswear, or the latest cocktail dress (velvet and halter ones are trending).
Retro Sneakers | For footwear you can either go futuristic or retro, whichever way you please! I'm loving the retro New Balance and Nike sneakers because they modernize any look (funny how that works).
Corset Tops | We're seeing the corset make a comeback; I like a subtle take on this trend with a pretty long-sleeve blouse. You could also try ruching, a softer approach that gives a similar feminine appeal.
Cottagecore | Have you been to Target lately? Did you notice the Little House on the Prairie dresses? That's part of the cottagecore trend. I think it can be done right, in small doses. Think flowy skirts and dresses and ditsy floral prints with combat boots.
Mini "Ugg" Boots | Another blast from the past...I love this trend for the comfort + cuteness factor.
Platform Boots | Chunky footwear keeps gaining momentum. Platform loafers look amazing with all the aforementioned trends, too.
Bike Short Sets | Athleisure and activewear are a permanent trend fixture these days (no complaints here). Bike shorts sets are a fresh way to wear your spandex. Top with a shacket, shearling jacket or even a leather coat when gym class is over.
