Pineapple prints, colorful lace, gingham checks, madras plaid and more amazing summer fashions greeted me at my local Target store yesterday. I had one of those extremely rare, super-successful shopping trips with both kiddos (candy bribes may or may not have been involved) and was able to snap some pics and try on a few items, too!
Shown above: Pineapple tee (just $5!) and Mossimo Low-Rise Boyfriend Shorts 6" Inseam, wearing size 4/27 (fit is TTS). I think this is the pair online but can't quite tell for sure.
British supermodel Jourdan Dunn made a stylish entrance in vertical stripe pants, a black bodysuit, and oversized denim jacket as she arrived at Nice Airport France on her way to the 70th Cannes Film Festival.
I love how the model plays with proportions in this look, from the wide leg pants to the sleek bodysuit top, to the boxy jacket with exaggerated sleeves.
I also love her choice of a graphic black and white color palette - so good for summer! She finishes the look with sporty yet sleek black patent sneakers, and retro top-frame sunglasses which we're seeing everywhere lately.
Really, is there anything not to love about Jourdan's look?! Steal her vibes with the affordable fashion finds below...
I've been in love with this ruffled cotton poplin skirt since I spotted it in the J.Crew style guide that arrived in my mailbox recently. The fabric is ideal for summer and the length looks perfect, too. Plus, what's not to love about a whimsical ruffle?!

Emily Ratajkowski wore denim on denim as she made her way through Nice airport during the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival.
This is no Canadian tuxedo fashion faux-pas: The star expertly mixed her two-tone Levi's denim jacket in Remixed Indigo ($188, levi.com) with her Attico floral chiffon top ($800, netaporter.com), skinny jeans and cognac open-toe ankle strap heel sandals for a laid-back look that's feminine and a touch bohemian.
I love the simplicity of this outfit for spring and summer. Of course now I'm convinced that I, too, need a two-tone denim jacket and I found the perfect one by Mango that's under $100.

This week our writer Lauren attended a T.J.Maxx store opening in Tribeca with a special tour from celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, who said whimsy is the word for summer! Inspired by his advice, we've rounded up some of the best pineapple picks under $150 (because really what's more whimsical than a pineapple pool float?!)
I requested a sample of this Burt's Bees Baby Nourishing Mineral Sunscreen and it's a hit! I put it to the test at the beach this week - for myself and two babes -and it worked great and left our skin feeling amazing, too. We were out in full sun about 2.5 hours.
