Off the Rack: Fall Highlights at Topshop New York (See 20+ In-Store Photos)

Off the Rack: In-Store Pics at Topshop New York
Yesterday I took a quick trip into the city to see my good friend Sydne (sydnesummer.com) and after a leisurely brunch we did some shopping, of course! I always have to stop at Topshop on Broadway since we don't have a store in Connecticut. But trust me, you're not missing out. Sydne and I both agreed that we actually prefer the selection of Topshop merchandise that's now offered at Nordstrom stores. And you can always shop online! But a trip to the store is informative especially when it comes to fall 2015 trends. Your choices are basically sixties boho or '90s grunge (I didn't bother to photograph the latter because it's just so ubiquitous these days - plaid, destroyed denim, you get the picture).

Spot the Real: TOMS 'Desert' Wedge Bootie

Can you spot the real TOMS wedge booties?
If you love TOMS classic slip-ons, you might already know that this philanthropic company makes other great shoe styles as well. And if you didn't, now you will! Their 'Desert' wedge booties are casual yet stylish, boasting a comfortable wedge that gives you height without discomfort (they get stellar reviews from shoppers at nordstrom.com - and Sarah Jessica Parker is a fan!). Plus TOMS will donate a pair of shoes to a child in need for every 'Desert' bootie purchased, just as they do with all their shoes. For $88.95 these brand-name boots won't break the bank but I did find a look for less that's just $27.99 elsewhere if you're looking for this versatile fall style and want to save some cash. The more we see of Gigi Hadid, the more we love this long-time Guess girl. We love how she paired her Team Celine tank ($49 at bossastore.com.au) with a white Smythe Anytime Blazer ($595, shopnyla.com), skinny jeans and Nike Flyknit Lunar 3 Running Shoes, ($150, nike.com) for that perfect mix of sporty and chic. A+ by Aldo Shoes is Coming to Target

ALDO and Target Introduce an A+ Collection
Target always knows how to grab our attention, and this time, the big box giant is teaming up with shoe megabrand Aldo to introduce A+, a line of affordable shoes and accessories this fall. The inaugural collection will include 17 styles priced from $24.99 to $59.99, and will update seasonally. Highlights for me include just about all the heeled ankle booties and the Mulberry-esque messenger. I have initial mixed feelings about this collab, but really, it can only be a good thing for Target diehards like myself. As I see it, Aldo always has the latest runway-inspired looks which I love yet the quality never quite matches the price (i.e., they're a tad overpriced) so I'll be eager to shop Aldo at my local Target. No trip to the mall required. Look out for the fall A+ collection in all Target stores and on Target.com the week of September 6.
