The Look for Less: Bottega Veneta Woven Clutch

For my wedding this past Saturday (which, by the way, was an absolute dream - thank you all sooo much for the well wishes, I treasure each one!!), I envisioned carrying a woven ivory silk clutch similar to this one by Bottega Veneta, $1,160 at bluefly.com.

Instead, I got the look for less with this gorgeous clutch from Nordstrom.com ($78). I didn't know where it was half the time (my sister/maid-of-honor took care of details like that) but at the end of the evening, we were reunited and I was glad to have my personal items safely stored in a precious container which I'm sure I will use again. This purse is really beautifully made and has a silver chain strap that you can tuck inside. Love!

MNG by MANGO Mission: Milan Mademoiselle

MNG Mission:...

Kaboodle

MNG Mission:... by thebudgetbabe

Last week, I completed my first MNG by MANGO Mission by creating a look inspired by London's leading lady, Kate Middleton. This week's challenge? Create a Kaboodle styleboard inspired by the streets of Milan using this MNG by MANGO leather jacket.

I've been dying to get a pleated skirt, so I paired the edgy black leather MNG by MANGO jacket with a flowy emerald-green number. A simple white blouse, tall black ankle boots and leopard print bag finish the look.

How would you style this jacket? You can create your own set on Kaboodle, then enter to win a trip to join myself and 9 other bloggers in Barcelona to visit the MNG by MANGO studios! Click here to enter.

Just A Quick Note to Say...

I'm getting married today!! I promise to share details and photos soon, and will resume normal posting in a few days. Thank you so so much for all the well wishes and kind words on Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Love,
Soon-to-be Mrs. BB

Off the Rack: September Jewelry Highlights at Target

Although Target has let me down in the designer-collaboration-arena of late, I've been increasingly impressed with their jewelry department (remember these bracelets?). This month I saw an assortment of delicate gold and silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings with a Zen, modern-minimalist feel (think Me&Ro, Satya or Gorjana) which are perfect for everyday wear. Other pieces, like a hammered gold disc pendant and a rough-hewn gemstone bracelet, feel more bohemian. Still others, like a silver arrowhead pendant, have a more edgy yet understated vibe. Finally, there are chunky chain necklaces and a couple pieces with bold amber beads with a vintage 70s vibe. If you're looking for a gift under $30 or a little something for your fall accessory wardrobe, give Target a peek.
