There’s something about fall that is comforting as the days of summer dwindle to a close. It is a season with many wonderful perks that we all look forward to when September rolls around: pumpkin-flavored everything, steaming mugs of apple cider, chunky sweaters, Halloween, crisp cool air. Thankfully we have plenty to look forward to. My favorite part has to be that leggings are acceptable and needed once again, but most of all, I get to shake the dust off my stylish BOOTS. And the dawn of any season is always an excuse to restock…at least for me it is.

So here it is, my wish list is a plethora of all of fashions top boot trends—moto, ankle, riding, rain, and over-the-knee. Which ones will you wear this fall?

I grew up in a sports family. Every year, once football season starts, the TV in our house is not available for about 75% of the week. Personally, I didn’t mind (you can’t go to the University of Oregon and hate football!) And I’m sure there are other Budget Babes out there who love the grit and thrill and competitiveness of football. Not everyone is a sports fan - don’t think that’s lost on me! But maybe you are participating in a fantasy league for fun, or want to support your gridiron-obsessed significant other, or just join in the rowdiness with your guy pals. You can at least appreciate the Super Bowl feast no matter how you feel about the game! Either way, it’s that time of year to once again get into the football spirit and show some pride for your favorite college or NFL team. Obviously you can visit any sporting goods store or website to get your hook-up, but I’ve rounded up four options that are slightly more affordable—and WAY cuter!

Flats are one of the trickiest shoes for me to shop. Obviously they should be cute and affordable, but I know comfort is definitely an important quality when I’m looking for a pair. I can’t count how many times I’ve been disappointed with flats that ended up being too stiff or left me with painful blisters. Not good! Especially in the summertime when we’re always on the go. Skechers sent me three pairs of flats to try out, and I am pleased to say that my feet were as happy as I was with them.

For some, the start of school might (sadly) be on the brink of our minds, whether it be for you or your kids. But that doesn’t mean the summer sun - and the bright, perky mood that it puts you in - has to fade, too!
