Reader Request: Matt Bernson Barracuda Sandal for Less

Today's "look for less" was requested by a reader who says she loves these Matt Bernson Barracuda sandals, but isn't loving the price—they're $175 at Piperlime.com. Celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker, Miley Cyrus and Leighton Meester are all fans of Matt Bernson, too, a brand that distinguishes itself by blending luxurious details with comfortable styling. Each pair is hand cut leather and "soulfully made in Brazil," says their website (find out more about Matt Bernson shoes at mattbernson.com), which explains the higher prices.

not usually a charlotte russe fan, but BB, those glad sandals are such an awesome flat alternative to those gladiator power heels that have been all the rage. I love them, but thy are always 4 inches tall, making me 6'3" and I don't quite have the confidence for that. So I will def be picking these up. Woo!

Steve Madden does DIRECT knockoffs of Matt Bernson shoes. They're $100 cheaper, but not as posh looking.

I just bought REAL Matt Bernson sandals (half price though!) and I must say they are outstanding! The comfort, quality and style really can not be ripped off (and yes, I have seen Madden try and do an EXACT rip off of the ones I have and I still prefer the real deal). This is the case where the originally really isn't THAT much more than the knock-off - you are better off spending a little for for the real deal!! I think, anyway.
