Christian Siriano for Victoria's Secret Makeup Collection

The Christian Siriano for VS Makeup collection

Project Runway winner and fashion phenom Christian Siriano is making his beauty debut with an exclusive collection for new VS Makeup. The collection interprets the themes of his Fall 2009 fashion collection with soft, luxurious textures and strong, rich colors. "This Fall the inspiration is Egypt: the warmth of the desert, the blue of the Nile. It's about the juxtaposition of soft fabrics and strong shapes," says Siriano. The designer's touches are evident throughout, from the shade palette and names to the luxurious gold packaging. I love the ruffle cosmetics bag—so Siriano! I'm happy for him, looks like he's doing well, but must say I'm looking forward to his shoe collection for Payless even more, which drops at the end of the month. And, mark your calendars for the next season of Project Runway which premieres on August 20.

The Christian Siriano for VS Makeup collection launches in August 2009, exclusively at Victoria's Secret stores and VictoriasSecret.com. More details after the jump.

The collection looks beautiful! It would be wonderful if you had someone do a review on the quality of the product. :-)

i try to avoid victoria's secret - BAD experiences - like i had to get three different bras one time for three different outfits and they "fitted" me that day and gave me A DIFFERENT SIZE FOR EACH BRA.. so honestly now i stick to aerie where i got fitted perfectly..okay, hi end rant haha :-P

BUT i think i will have to check out this collection! i love the ruffled makeup case as well and i'm sort of completely in love with christian's style

The prices seem alright except the lip gloss at $24 seems steep. The line really doesn't entice me except maybe the kajal liner. I think I'll stick with Stila and Smashbox.

I'm just not sure about this...with stuff I put on my face, I want good quality, and I'm note sure about VS or Christian in this area. I prefer the stuff that dermatalogists -Trish McEvoy, Perricone, Clinique collaborate on.

VS didn't do very well with their bras as one of the other commentators noted. I don't know if I trust the make up here. The side effects from the Formaldehyde in the bras were pretty bad. I know of someone who experienced it. Not good.

Formaldehyde in Bras?

The medical Web site medhelp.org also features numerous complaints against the underwear company.

Just something to think about.

I love the design of this collection but as many of the ladies said, I will have to wait to see on the quality.

I love the packaging! It's true that VS is kinda hit & miss with their quality, but then of course you get what you pay for.
