The Budget Babe's resident beauty junkie Kiki Bella goes to great lengths to test and review new Revlon Fantasy Lengths faux eyelashes. —BB

There are certain beauty products that most people just never use (I already addressed my awareness of the eyebrow pencil in an earlier post). Another one of these items are faux lashes. Women really seem to be turned off by the idea of faux lashes, although in reality most models and actresses we see and so desperately want to emulate are sporting them. If you honestly think that those models/actresses have those lashes with just mascara you are dead wrong.
With that being said, faux lashes don't really seem all that practical in the "real" world. Putting them on and then keeping them there is not something your average busy beauty on the go wants to deal with. The number one question I get is "don't they fall off?"—and that is a legitimate concern. Nobody wants to be on a date and have a black spider-looking thing float off their face and land in their Pad Thai. Not exactly attractive. I have had pretty good luck with faux lashes over the years, but I myself limit their use to very special occasions, weddings, black tie events and the like.
For the sake of this review, however, I decided to up the ante. I originally was planning to wear a set of Revlon Fantasy Lengths Maximum Wear eyelashes in Blue Shadow to a wedding brunch, which I did, and they looked fantastic and lasted through the party. But all I really did was stand around and chit chat in nice air conditioning. I could probably just place them on my lids and they'd last through that. So, for the sake of my lovely ladies that like to go and dance their butt off on the weekends (or whenever, I'm not judging) my Bikram Yoga class later that day seemed like the ideal place for an extreme faux eyelash test.
For those of you that are not familiar with Bikram Yoga, it is considered by some to be a more extreme form of traditional yoga. Also known as Fire Yoga, Bikram Yoga is twenty six asanas (postures) each done twice in a room heated to 105 degrees Fahrenheit with 40% humidity. This cycle of asanas takes about an hour and a half, and you sweat like you never have before in your life. Who knew sweat could drip so easily from the front of your calves? I certainly did not. Drip is an understatement, rain, I think, is the more appropriate word. Let me put this bluntly, if these lashes can last through a Bikram yoga class, they can last through anything, and I mean anything (you could get hit in the face with a fire hose).
Not gonna lie, I definitely got some weird looks walking into that room with my full on makeup, faux lashes and all. The looks were even weirder though, when I found myself walking out of that room and hour and a half later with my eye lashes still securely in place. Those suckers didn't come off until I melted them off with makeup remover.
Since my experiment I have actually considering the benefits of faux lashes in Bikram Yoga class. For one thing, I looked fabulous, but on a more practical note I'm fairly certain that the faux lashes acted as a barrier between my eyes and the torrents of sweat that would wash over my face ever time I bent over (sick, I know). Maybe it'll be a new trend, toned, toxin-free and absolutely fabulous lashes.

Thanks for testing them out!
It's weird to me that more women don't do the lashes thing. I have vivid memories of my grandmother expertly applying her lashes every morning. Seems like women from those older generations used to wear them all the time.
I wear them when I'm working or out seeing people. Not on my days off though
