Off the Rack: Fall Boot Love at Target

Boots we're loving at Target right now

Target has a ton of fall boots that I'm loving right now, and I actually got to snap some pics on my last trip because my husband was with me to watch our son while I shopped. (He's a good man.) My little one can now do things like open dressing room doors. And run. So shopping with him is filled with new adventures (and very little actual shopping! LOL) So back to the shoes: The Sam & Libby line impresses with their on-trend offerings like lug-sole booties, ankle-strap pumps and the "Liam" chain-embellished moto boots you see above. I also love the cozy faux-fur boots from Mossimo (like this shearling pair), and classics like these Chelsea boots, a two-tone riding boot, or the faux-suede tall boots (those looked great in person). At full price, however, I won't be buying more than one or maybe two pairs - I got these "Macie" gray faux-suede tall boots because that's one color I didn't already have in my closet, and I can wear them while chasing after my toddler indoors and outdoors this fall. See any boots you like here?

The Look for Less: Givenchy 'Laura' Chain Ankle Boot

Remember the Givenchy "Curb" chain boots we lusted for last fall? The designer label has brought this look back this season with the "Laura" ankle boot, at a cost of $1,650 at SAKS.COM:

Earlier today at Target, I spotted these Sam & Libby chain moto boots and was instantly reminded of Givenchy. I might get tired of the gold chains after one season but for $44.99 the price seems so right to try this trend:

Off the Rack: Altuzarra for Target Review

Off the Rack: Altuzarra for Target

This morning, I wrote a post about what I ordered online from the just-launched Altuzarra for Target collection; now here are some photos I snapped in the afternoon at one of my local Target stores. Truth be told, there wasn't a huge selection, but there were plenty of sizes left for the items they did stock. I didn't find the sold-out belt I wanted (boo) but I was able to scope out the fabrics and get a feel for sizing, too.

Altuzarra for Target Launched Today: Let's Talk About What We Bought

Altuzarra for Target Is Here: What I Bought

The highly-anticipated Altuzarra for Target collection has launched at Target stores, TARGET.COM and NET-A-PORTER.COM. I didn't stay up last night to shop but I logged on a few minutes ago (around 7:50 am EST) and was able to purchase two of the three items I wanted: The sumptuous red wrap-effect satin-jersey dress ($39.99), which I fell in love with after seeing how well it looked on Naomi Watts at the launch party, and the embroidered cotton-blend twill dress ($49.99), which is a fresh update on the LBD and features the collection's signature heron motif. I plan on wearing these to an upcoming semi-casual fall wedding lunch and dinner. I placed my orders from Net-a-Porter rather than Target.com because while both sites offer free shipping and returns, Net-a-porter offers fancy packaging. And it just feels more luxe. There, I said it.
