Off the Rack: September Jewelry Highlights at Target

Although Target has let me down in the designer-collaboration-arena of late, I've been increasingly impressed with their jewelry department (remember these bracelets?). This month I saw an assortment of delicate gold and silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings with a Zen, modern-minimalist feel (think Me&Ro, Satya or Gorjana) which are perfect for everyday wear. Other pieces, like a hammered gold disc pendant and a rough-hewn gemstone bracelet, feel more bohemian. Still others, like a silver arrowhead pendant, have a more edgy yet understated vibe. Finally, there are chunky chain necklaces and a couple pieces with bold amber beads with a vintage 70s vibe. If you're looking for a gift under $30 or a little something for your fall accessory wardrobe, give Target a peek.

Some nice pieces. I really enjoy the features where you show what's out there at various stores. I love seeing what's new and what caught your eye. Thanks!

I like target and their jewelry although pretty is very delicate and cheaply made. I wish they didn't fall apart on me! But I still like tarjay anyways =)

I love Target! I got a quirky necklace there with a vintage pair of glasses as the pendant and it's such a conversation starter! I love that they divide everything up into tastes/colors so you're sure to find something that's your style, and of course, the price is right! For $100 you could have a head-toe outfit!

I just discovered Target jewelry too! The pieces are really beautiful and seem to be well made! I got a few things on clearance that look like they came from some higher-end store. I love how nature-inspired the designs are!

I agree, I've had good luck with the quality. Meanwhile, I've gotten pieces that cost 4 or 5 times as much using credits at places like Gilt, etc. just to test it out (or as gifts) and the quality is often lacking. My House of Harlow rings have completely lost their luster; I have a Rachel Leigh necklace that tarnished and it's not real metal so I can't clean it; I had a JewelMint necklace break before I even walked out the door...my list of experiences with costume jewelry goes on and on. Price doesn't dictate quality, even when it comes to fine jewelry. Food for thought! :-)
