Dailylook.com July Haul and Review

Dailylook review

I am having way too much fun reviewing these Dailylook.com items for all you Budget Babes, so here’s my third round of goodies I have put to the test! Recently I have found out that I will be moving down to Phoenix, AZ (any of you Babes from there?!) BIG change from the Pacific Northwest where I’ve lived my whole life! This was the perfect excuse for some new “desert” looks—lightweight, trendy, and relaxed summer pieces!

Breezy Button Down Romper $35

A white, whimsical jumpsuit has been on my summer must-have list, and I am sad to report to you that this one did not fit the bill. Not going to give TMI here, but the length was too short and the romper was riding up in places that it shouldn’t have been…and I worried that the medium I ordered was going to be a bit too roomy. I’m not sure if a large would have made a difference, but I wouldn’t have been in love with it anyway—there isn’t much of cinch in the waist, so it made me look bigger than I actually am. This was one of those cases where an item looks better on the model than the buyer :[

Jersey Knit Maxi Skirt $24

The fashion gods have granted us the perfect summer maxi skirt in this item right here. The fabric is soft and light, yet not cheaply made. Another benefit is the fold-down waistband, helpful for adjusting the length and giving you the option of a low or high-waisted look. Word of warning though: this is slightly see-through, so be aware and choose undergarments wisely! I am wearing the ‘Dusty Rose’ color in a size small, along with a graphic tank and gladiator sandals.

Polka-Dot Jumpsuit (sold out, similar HERE)

My risk-taking with trends has been paying off lately. After refusing to think that I could pull off a jumpsuit and trying on a number of different ones at several different retailers, I am in LOVE with the one I chose from Dailylook! My size medium here is just loose enough in the chest, the pant length hits the right spot on my ankles for my preference, and the bowtie waist allows me to create some shape in the billowy fabric!

The polka-dot jumpsuit I am seen wearing here has sold out. SO sorry BB’s! (I encourage you not to hesitate purchasing items you think you’ll want from their site. Popular items seem to go really fast!) No fear, I found a similar look at a reasonable price:

Nautical Tote

Striped Tote (sold out, similar HERE)

The striped tote I have here is also no longer available, but don’t be upset—I would not have recommended it anyway! I should have guessed that it wouldn’t be the sturdiest bag for a mere $15. When it arrived, it already had a tear in the seam on one side and a hole in the bottom. Don’t let this affect your decisions with other bags though; Dailylook does have another striped tote that I am guessing will be a much more useful and satisfying summer carryall, with a leather base and handles and extra pockets! This makes it much cuter and more fun to look at in my opinion anyway:

Hi! I love your blog and live here in Phoenix! Originally moved here from the Midwest back in 2006 with my bf (now hubby and father of my two young sons). It's HOT in the summer here as I am sure you've heard but you eventually get used to it and adjust. I do love that sandal season starts way early here or never ends for some people. I bust out cute flats come winter time! If you have any questions about it here, let me know. Good luck!! -Sokun
