The Best Lingerie on a Budget

Victoria's Secret

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I think it's only fitting that we discuss the best lingerie on a budget. I've been a loyal Victoria's Secret customer for as long as I can remember, but I feel it's time for me to expand my horizons, so I'm leaving it up to you ladies to clue me in: Where do you shop for sexy, comfy lingerie that doesn't cost a small fortune? I don't think lingerie should have to cost a lot, I mean, it's the woman who wears it that makes it hot. At the same time, it's oh-so-necessary and such a glamorous, girly thing to treat ourselves to that a little splurge here and there is totally permissible in my book. So let's hear it in the comments: From cotton panties to silk négligées, where to you shop for your unmentionables?

P.S. It's no coincidence that the Victoria's Secret winter clearance sale is going on now. Save up to 75% off 2,500 styles.

M&S has great-quality, affordable, pretty bras. And I usually get my undies at Miss Selfridge - they are really pretty, and they usually have some sort of offer one: 3 for £9, 3 for the price of 2, etc. :-)

It's hit or miss, but go for TJ Maxx or Marshalls! I've see corsets there for $15, and beautiful bras are almost all under $12. Be prepared to dig though!!!

um....I am sorely lacking in this department, so I have no ideas to offer-pretty sad!

Marshall's all the way. I get my $50 CK bras there for $14!

My best friend swears by H&M bras. Unfortunately, they don't run in my size (seems to mostly be As and Bs, with a few Cs, but I'm sure it depends which H&M you're visiting) so I can't tell you much more than that. She says they're very comfortable, priced around $15 a bra, and come in really cute (and sexy) styles/colors.

As for myself, I'm pretty true to VS despite their prices. If I'm looking for something superfluous and fun, I'll check out Marshall's.

I have to agree with the other ladies that said Marshall's/ Tj Maxx- I just bought a Betsey Johnson bra there for 15 bucks that is currently on the Lord and Taylor website for 60!!! Brand new and beautiful! Not only that but they always have fun undies for a couple bucks a pair, can't beat them!

I just went lingerie shopping yesterday and went to Victoria Secret, Bloomingdale's, Macy's and Forever 21. I ended up buying a really cute and sexy babydoll with matching panty number from Forever 21. It was the best deal and the most comfortable fit. I wasn't a huge fan of what I saw at Victoria Secret's because it was all too frilly, overly complicated and pricey.

Ida - I also don't like undergarments that are too fussy. If they have too much embroidery or too many frills, it often shows through my clothes, which means that I won't get to wear my pretty bras very often!

I forgot to mention that Topshop actually has some nice, affordable, and comfy bras as well.

Add Ross Dress for Less to the list along with Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Agree that you have to be prepared to dig through the selection, but it's worth it in terms of the tremendous savings compared to regular retail prices.

I do love me some TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but I'd also add Nordstroms Rack and Filene's Basement.

Frederick's of Hollywood - it is often deemed "risque," but no more than Victoria's Secret. Cute bras and undies way more affordable than department store or Victoria Secret prices. Also, they have a wide range of sizes that are difficult to find elsewhere.

I have had good luck with Macy's clearance sales. They often have bras marked down to $9.99 or $12 and 50% "designer" bras. I also always check TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross.

I must admit that i've always found Marks and Spencers lingerie to be great value and fits me well. I've never had a problem finding lingerie in my size or thats comfortable enough.

I was hoping to find more about pasties here - did you know in the UK people eat pasties - they are like flat pies - whereas it turns out that a pasty here is like a tiny bra.

Also charlotte russe - $7 for bra and maybe $2 for panties... but of course cheaply made.
