Seeing Spots

While browsing some new sites (and one not-so-new standby), we noticed polka-dots are still everywhere...but the green ones really stand out. We're not sure why, they just do. Take a gander at the following and tell us you aren't mesmerized, too:

BKE Canvas Tote, $22.00, buckle.com

Laurel Top, $17.80, forever21.com

Strawberry necklace, $10.00, shopsueyboutique.com

Things We Love: Safari Rings

We love animal prints and these safari rings from Freepeople.com are the perfect way to (what else?) show off your wild side. The best part is they're comfortable, which sounds like an odd thing to say about a ring, but we're fussy when it comes to our delicate fingers and don't appreciate clunky, scratchy, heavy or otherwise uncomfortable jewelry adorning our appendages. Plus, they're handmade which makes them worth the $24 price tag (here's hoping the talented artisans who make them get their fair share...).

The Look for Less: Red Patent Wedge Slide

On the left, we have the yummy Via Spiga 'Grant' Slide in cherry-red patent, perfect for summer. Originally priced at $159, you can get it on sale for $99 at Nordstrom.com.

But considering the trend factor of this fun little number, we'd opt to buy it's less expensive twin on the right, namely the Mossimo® Parry Patent Cork Slide Wedge from Target for only $17.49.

Now that's sweet.

A Dress to Flatter Any Figure

Summer fashion's pièce de résistance is without a doubt the dress. Here's one we can almost guarantee will look smashing on any woman:

What: Shirred v-neck dress from Newport-News.com.

Why it works: Flattering neckline, ruched waistline and flared skirt hide flaws and accent the positive. Polyester/rayon knit with spandex lend support and help retain the shape, so it's totally packable for that summer vacation. Plus, it's machine washable.

Oh-so-right price: $44

JCPenney Taps Chip & Pepper Denim

Holy cow, is this for real?! We read recently that JCPenney has signed a deal with denim gods Chip & Pepper to create an affordable clothing line called C7P!! It's supposed to come out in time for the back-to-school season. Prices for jeans shall not top $34.99, which is remarkable considering Chip & Peppers usually run like $200 a pair. They're supposedly just for juniors, but at that price, who cares?! We'll squeeze into a pair with no shame. Can't wait, JCPenney! Way to reinvent yoself.
