Deal du Jour: Sierra Trading Post Sale

Get a head-start on ski season...

...during Sierra Trading Post's massive warehouse clearance sale.

Save big on coats and boots, as well as end-of-season summer clearance items.

And that's not all: My bf scored the three pairs of Tsubos pictured below for just $120! You will easily pay that much for just one pair at a fancy boutique like City Soles (Don't believe me? Click the link!).
Tsubos
Other great bargains we spotted included an Anne Klein Luxury Pashmina Wrap for $49.95, Timbuk2 Metro Mini Messenger Bag for $29.95, and Born Maritime Shearling Boots for $99.95.

Shopbop Model Poses for Sears?

Detective Budget Babe over here needs a second opinion (or third or fourth...):

If you're a fan of Shopbop.com, then you've no doubt noticed the unmistakable redheaded model on the left. It seems like she's been featured in just about every campaign since the chichi fashion site was acquired by Amazon.com back in '06.

So imagine our surprise when we were surfing around for an anorak and spotted the same model (or someone who we think is the same model) at Sears.com (pictured on the right), a totally unglamorous, complete-opposite-of-Shopbop kind of store.

And therein lies our dilemma: Do you think it's the same person in both shots?

Model mystery aside, we think Shopbop has done a great job at selecting uniquely beautiful models. (The Sears model is absolutely cute as a button, too, and Shopbop should scoop her up—if they haven't already!)

Celebrating the Legacy of Grace Kelly

Twenty-five years since Grace Kelly's passing, a series of special events will allow the public to take a glimpse inside the enchanted world of America's Princess.

From October 15th to the 26th, there will be a free exhibition at Sotheby's in New York called “Grace, Princess of Monaco: A Tribute to the Life and Legacy of Grace Kelly," featuring her dresses, jewelry, letters, photographs, video and film clips and other items, many of which have never been seen in public or outside of Monaco.

In addition, the windows of New York City’s Saks Fifth Avenue store will feature Grace Kelly-inspired creations by Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, Zac Posen, Ralph Rucci and Vera Wang. The public can bid on these dresses with proceeds to benefit the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (www.pgfusa.org).

If you're in the New York area, grab a girlfriend and check out these free events. Mothers, grab your daughters and go, too! If fallen popstar Britney is any indication, young women could all use more Grace (literally and figuratively) these days.

Knock, knock...

Who's there?

Another Christian Louboutin knock-off by Steve Madden, of course!

The Loubie on the left is cute, but it's not that cute...at least we don't think it's worth copying at the risk of another lawsuit. (And we thought Madden came out of prison a changed man.)

Besides, who would pay $99.95 for the knock-offs? Psssh...keep dreaming!

What do you think? Would you rock the fakes or blow next month's rent on the real ones?
