New York & Company Widget

New York & Company recently launched a widget, "NY Style Notebook," with fashion advice from Carson Kressley, videos, style tips, and updated offers. I added it to my iGoogle hompage and it's pretty cute, has a nifty Christmas countdown clock, holiday gift ideas and a daily deal from NY & Co. Check it out (above) or download it for yourself here: www.nyandcompany.com/widget

New Sample Sale Site: RedTagCrazy.com

There's a new online sample sale site that's like the Woot.com of fashion: RedTagCrazy.com. Each sale features just one item at a time from one hot designer for a limited period of time. This could get really addictive, really fast! The current sale features DVB by Victoria Beckham Signature Bootcut Jeans in Black regularly $225, now just $44.76. I'm liking the savings, so let's give them some time to bring us better designers, shall we?

Felix Rey and Miss Trish of Capri for Target

Target has two more designer collaborations on the horizon for accessories: Lily Band and Sulaika Zarrouk will design a limited edition handbag collection called Felix Rey for the retailer that will be available from March 29 through June 14. Then, footwear designer Trish Carroll is creating a limited edition shoe collection called Miss Trish of Capri for Target, which will be available from April 5 through June 14.

I'm kinda indifferent towards both designers, but they might translate well to fast fashion because...how can I put this...even their pricey designer stuff looks kinda cheap. Felix Rey does bows, sequins, patent leather, leopard. Meanwhile, Miss Trish of Capri creates costly thong sandals for Palm Beach housewives adorned with shiny trinkets shaped like seahorses or jewel-encrusted starfish. So who knows, both collabs could be cute at Target where the pricetags will happily match the designs.

Sarah Jessica Parker Seeks New Home for Bitten

With the demise of Steve & Barry's as we know it, Sarah Jessica Parker is reportedly looking for a new retail partner to house Bitten, her bargain fashion line. (via The Cut) If I may offer a few suggestions to Mrs. Parker, ehem, I think someplace like Kohl's would be a good fit for Bitten. Kohl's could definitely use one more draw in addition to the Simply Vera by Vera Wang collection, which seems to be doing fairly well. Another potential candidate would have to be Wal-Mart, and I say that only after witnessing the swell job they've done for Norma Kamali. JCPenney's got Charlotte Ronson coming in the spring, so that's another good candidate, but then I'd have to drive out of my way to shop at the janky mall where my nearest Penney's is located. Sadly, I don't see Target or H&M as realistic options judging by the nature of their current designer collaborations.

Where do you think Bitten should make its new home?
