Wanting: Abaeté for Payless Gabriel Gladiator

Abaete for Payless Gabriel Gladiator

The Abaeté for Payless Gabriel Gladiator ($38), featured in the February 2009 issue of Lucky magazine, is calling my name. I have been waiting for the perfect pair of gladiators, and I think these just might be the ones! It's a good thing I saw them in Lucky, too, because the product shots on the Payless website don't do these strappy showstoppers justice. Here are the details:

"Designer Laura Poretzky has captured one of the year's biggest trends with edgy feminine style. This fierce gladiator features an intricate textile suede upper with metal ring details, two adjustable buckles and a convenient back zip for easy on/off. Pair with a flouncy spring dress for an on-trend look. Padded footbed for comfort. 4" heel. Fabric upper. Leather outsole with flocking."

F21's Shibuya Mon Amour Line is Now Available Online

Shibuya Mon Amour for Forever 21

Forever 21's new Shibuya Mon Amour line is now available online, and consists of cotton tees and tanks featuring artsy line drawings of animals. The description on the site says, "Inspired by the cool kids of Tokyo and Paris, Shibuya Mon Amour is girly, street, punk and fashion. Live it, love it, Shibuya Mon Amour." Gotta love those copywriters! At any rate, the tees are adorable and edgy, but I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe there is no big deal? Anywho I like the long lengths on these, just hope the fabric's thicker/better quality to warrant the prices, which range from $13.80 to $17.80. Thanks to reader Alison for the tip!

Adventures in Online Shopping: 1site1price.com

BB reviews 1site1price

When I initially heard about 1site1price.com—a new discount fashion store where everything's one price—I was so utterly turned off by the lame name that I decided it wasn't worth my time. But then my curiosity got the best of me (oh, how quickly things can change), and, well, I placed my first order. Keep reading to hear how it went (and to see what I bought!)
