Now Available: I Heart Ronson by Charlotte Ronson for JCPenney

I Heart Ronson by Charlotte Ronson for JCPenney

I Heart Ronson by Charlotte Ronson for JCPenney is now available in stores, and some of the styles are available online too. The collection includes tees, vests, blouses, jeans, leggings, a dress and a tunic, in what I like to call a playful neutral palette of grays, blues, petal pink, white and black. Prices range from $15 for a racerback tank to $58 for a floral dress.

I have high hopes for this collection, so I'll reserve judgment until I see it in person. The fact that they're so clearly targeting teens with their choice of models and sizing is a little discouraging, but isn't that always the case? We ::cough:: adults will have to put on our fashion goggles and look past the branding and just make these clothes work for us, too. Thanks to reader Alison Y. for the tip!

My Latest Deal: Hunter Wellington Rain Boots from Gilt

Today temperatures soared into the upper 50s and the snow and ice actually began to melt. We're expecting another snowstorm tomorrow, but for those few blissful hours of sun and warm air, it felt like spring had finally arrived. For the first time, I wore my new Hunter Original rubber boots from Gilt (an online sample store that consistently delivers top-notch duds and amazing customer service), and I am in love. They are perfect for trekking through slush and stomping through deep puddles and mud. And yes, I do this quite often (guess I'm becoming a bona fide New Englander). After a nice long walk with a friend and our dogs, I slipped into a breezy Jovovich-Hawk for Target dress which I envisioned would look very festival-chic paired with my wellies. I think the contrast of chiffon and rubber boots works pretty well. The image filters over at Picnik help, too. If you're in the market for a pair of rain boots, I highly recommend Hunters. Another sale is bound to come around, and according to one reader, you can even find them at Marshalls for as little as $30.

Gisele Bundchen Ad Campaign for Rampage

Gisele Bundchen Ad Campaign for Rampage

Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen is the new spokesmodel for Rampage, having recently posed for the affordable clothing retailer's Spring 2009 collection. Hmm, seems a little beneath her. Which begs the question: Who still shops at Rampage? I was never a big fan of the store, but I remember thinking they had some cute party clothes back in college. Then, Forever 21 opened their doors in my hometown, and Rampage became a distant memory. I'd check their website from time to time, but never found anything worthwhile (and right now, it looks like a redesign of their online store is in the works). With stale, overpriced styles, Rampage falls short of their competitors in my book. And judging by these campaign photos, even Gisele can't make Rampage clothing look classy or desirable. Unless Rampage ups their game, I'll continue to pass. What about you—are you a fan of Rampage?
