Macy's Ready-to-Wear Fall 2010 Lookbook

Macy's Ready-to-Wear Fall 2010 Lookbook

For Fall 2010, Macy's is celebrating the season with four main trends: Brick, Down to Earth, Metropolis, Caravan and Knit Picks. Roughly translated, we can look forward to a color palette of autumnal hues, menswear-inspired fabrics, minimalist glamour, eclectic vintage-inspired pieces and modern sweater knits. The must-have pieces to get the look? Something pleather, statement jackets, faux fur, novelty sweaters, lace trim, feminine blouses, slouchy trousers, slim pants, utility everything and lots of leggings! I'll let the clothes do the talking. I'm loving the juxtaposition of soft and edgy (nothing new, but well done by Kensie and BCBGeneration), the ghillie tie ankle boots and the cargo jacket. Take notes, people!

Fall Fashion Q&A with YouTube's Elle & Blair Fowler and Fashion Expert Jorge Ramon

I recently had the opportunity to interview celeb teen YouTube hosts and 'style spotters' Elle & Blair Fowler and TV commentator/fashion expert Jorge Ramon via the web about today's hottest fashion trends.

Watch the video to hear them answer my questions about fall fashion must-haves, how to wear the military trend and much more. (You'll hear them refer to me by my first name rather than "The Budget Babe" but don't let that throw you off.)

5 Under $50: Trends You Can Keep from Last Fall

Many of last fall's styles are still going strong this year, which means you can renew, reuse and recycle a lot of the stuff that's already in your closet. Here are five examples of the trends you'll want to wear again:

1. LEOPARD - This classic animal print still looks purrfect on scarves, bags and shoes. (Merona Animal Print Wrap, $12.99, target.com)

Olsenboye by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for JCPenney Fall 2010 Lookbook

Olsenboye by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for JCPenney Fall 2010 Lookbook

Just in time for back to school, here's the Olsenboye for JCPenney fall 2010 lookbook, featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's affordable line of tops, skirts, dresses, jackets, denim, shoes, & accessories available now through October. This season, the designing sisters got their inspiration from the city of London, expressed through not-so-subtle Union Jack motifs, graffiti tees, grungy plaid and rocker studs. At first glance I can't say I was impressed but this juniors line definitely has its thoughtful moments. The styles are classy and cute with just a hint of teenage rebellion. I like the tweed jacket ($29.99) paired with a graffiti tee ($14.99), ponte blazer ($29.99) and plaid bag. Any takers?

Fall 2010 Footwear Trends at Sears

Sears has enlisted the expertise of stylist and former Elle editor Francesca Mills to create a new look and a brand new image for Sears fashion. Here, the style expert highlights four key footwear trends for fall: Slouch Boots, Preppy, Clogs and Hardware.

Sears has also launched a new Facebook page, Sears Footwear Fashion First, with more videos, lookbook photos and fashion tips, and a Twitter account (@SearsFashion1st) where shoppers can get the latest news on Sears contests, giveaways and more.

I kinda like the wedge loafer (reminds me of last fall's 'Jurra' by Nine West) and the 'Rhianne' boot (which looks identical to the 'Keara' by Mossimo for Target). Hopefully the Sears Facebook page will make it easier for shoppers to hone in on the goodies that can be found at Sears.com, a vast and oftentimes clunky website.

Think you'll be shopping at Sears for shoes this fall?
