Ask BB: Cute & Comfortable Bridal Shoes

I have recently been in a traumatic car accident (hit by a drunk driver), and I am on the mend now. I have had to be off my feet for nearly 5 months due to broken bones, specifically my left femur, left and right knee caps, and right tibia/fibula (right ankle). I am not able to wear heels any more due to the stiffness of my right ankle, and all of my clothes no longer fit because I have lost so much weight due to inactivity for 5 months. … I have a wedding coming up (it had to be pushed back because of the accident—and I refused to go down the aisle in a wheelchair or on crutches), so are there any flat shoes you could recommend I wear in my wedding dress? I had planned on wearing these gorgeous Badgley Mischka heels, but now that's out of the question. Anything you could recommend would be wonderful! Thank you! —Liz

I'm so sorry to hear about your unfortunate accident and the pain it's caused you. Hopefully I can suggest some stylish shoe options that will make you feel beautiful and help you enjoy your special day as you move on with your life and start a new beginning, filled with health, love and happiness.

The first thing that came to my mind is that many brides today are intentionally opting for comfortable shoes over painful heels because they want to feel as good as they look on their wedding day, so you're not alone! There are dozens of gorgeous options to choose from and you won't have to sacrifice style for comfort.

1. A classic white ballet flat is always a chic option, here's one with a quilted pattern and bow detail to give it that extra bit of glamour and interest:
