Rachel Bilson Designs "Edie Rose Home" for Macy's

Rachel Bilson designs Edie Rose Home for Macys

Rachel Bilson has created a tabletop collection called Edie Rose Home, now available exclusively at select Macy's stores and macys.com. Priced from $12 to $67, the Edie Rose Home collection includes plates, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, serving ware and more tabletop essentials adorned with pretty flowers, butterflies, birds and peacocks in a soft color palette of white, blue and green. The Peacock Feather 4-piece Place Setting ($67) is the perfect shade of Marth-Stewart blue, and these Peacock Salad Plates ($17 each) would elevate even the simplest of meals.

Vera Wang Fall 2011 Runway Show

While I usually talk about Vera Wang's affordable line at Kohl's, today I needed to devote some space to her eponymous high-end line. The designer showed her fall 2011 collection in New York City for Fashion Week (I was not in attendance, dream on), and it consisted of various iterations of flowing pleated skirts and gowns that managed to be ethereal and severe at the same time. There were none of the embellishments that Vera Wang has come to be known for, those big artsy necklaces and rhinestone clusters, but there was plenty of fur, leather gloves and fierce boots to make up for it. Or did it? I guess I like to see a bit more color and a bold print or two from Vera but who am I to judge. I can see the parkas trending well for mass market but imagine we won't see so much sheer-ness for the Kohl's shopper.

The Budget Babe Featured in Woman's World Magazine

TheBudgetBabe.com is featured on page nine of the February 21, 2011, issue of Woman's World Magazine. I always find at least one pearl of wisdom each time I flip through this magazine (which admittedly typically happens when I'm waiting in line at the grocery store or reading a hand-me-down issue from my mom or future mother-in-law.) At just $1.79 per issue, it's definitely a magazine worth checking out for money-saving advice, style tips and easy recipes.
