DV by Dolce Vita Fall 2011 Lookbook

If you live somewhere in the wake of Hurricane Irene, are stuck inside and fortunate enough to still have power, allow me to entertain you for a bit with DV by Dolce Vita's Fall 2011 look book. DV is Dolce Vita's more accessible line (with many shoes priced under $100). You may know and love Dolce Vita from their budget friendly collabs with Target.

This fall lookbook features the brand's favorite selections of the season, covering the trends of casual menswear-inspired shoes, high wedges and platforms, colorblocking, Americana and glitter, and will be available at dolcevita.com. I'm picking up subtle references to Christian Louboutin, Miu Miu, Charlotte Olympia and more, which may explain why I'm in love with just about all of them. Can you pick a favorite?

Kmart Fashion Fall 2011 Lookbook

Kmart Fashion Fall 2011 Look Book

Kmart has shared their Fall 2011 look book with us, and it features some of the key pieces and trends you'll be seeing in stores for the fall season. There's some good-looking outerwear, amazing boots and knit dresses that can go from day to night with a quick accessory change. I've got my eye on the capelet (capes are huge again for fall), all the wool-blend coats, lace-up fold-over ankle boots, faux leather shorts, and faux leather skirt. Kmart is slowly but surely stepping up their game, now if only they would overhaul their website to make shopping online a bit more enjoyable.

MNG by Mango for JCPenney Fall 2011 Lookbook

Here's another fall 2011 look book you won't want to miss, MNG by Mango for JCPenney. In case you need a refresher, Spanish fashion chain Mango teamed up with JCPenney in 2010 to reach a broader audience of fashionistas in the U.S., and I really think they fill an important niche. I'm always looking to the MNG line for affordable pieces to include in my "Dress by Number" posts that you can't really find anywhere else besides H&M (and not every town has an H&M). The fall lookbook includes a number of covetable items, like a green shirtdress ($47.92), faux leather tote ($47.92) and a floral maxi dress ($95.92), plus updated essentials like denim, cardigans and lightweight jackets. I don't get the Tinkerbell tee at all but I'm willing to overlook that minor anomaly. Most pieces are available in stores and online at jcp.com beginning in August, priced mostly under $50 with nothing over $100.

Olsenboye for JCPenney Fall 2011 Lookbook

Here's the Fall 2011 look book for Olsenboye, the teen fashion line by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sold exclusively at JCPenney stores and online. This season's mix of dresses and separates comes in a palette of reds, black, dark blue and ivory with floral prints, plaid and stripes, ruffle embellishments and loosely woven knits. Faux fur and shearling vests add texture while colorful tights, crossbody bags and cool hats give the lookbook a boho-meets-London-street-style vibe. Observations: The redheaded model reminds me of Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes. Leather shorts are ubiquitous for fall. If I can fit into the juniors sizing, the dress shown above will be mine. Shop these pieces at jcp.com, where you can see Olsenboye shoes and bags, too. Lots of great options under $50.

Simply Vera Vera Wang for Kohl's Fall 2011 Lookbook

The Simply Very Vera Wang for Kohl's fall 2011 look book is out, featuring 31 looks marked by graphic prints, rich textures and lots of layering. It's classic Simply Vera (we can say that now that the collection has been going strong since 2007): The tunics, the leggings (less than last season, thank goodness), the layers. And this season, we find these chic basics updated with modern elements of fur, chiffon, tulle and organza. In the past we've complained that the models do not mirror the customer but I guess the look book is styled for art's sake. Note that many of these looks are available in both petite and plus sizes. I didn't include detailed info on each item because there are so many pieces but leave a comment if you have any questions. Most items are available in September and range from $40 for a chiffon tank, $68 for a fur vest to $109 for sleek riding boots. I love the shoes - all of them!
