Just days after
the explosive launch of their collaboration with Versace,
H&M has announced a spring designer collaboration with the Italian brand Marni. Whereas Versace epitomizes excess and sex appeal, Marni is known for its cerebral designs and playful prints - so if you didn't care for the last collab, you're gonna love this one.
Founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglioni (shown above with H&M's Margareta van den Bosch) worked closely with H&m to create a spring line for women and men featuring clothing and accessories at prices that are high for H&M but super-low for Marni. "I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," says Consuelo. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements."
I'm going to sound like a broken record but once again I'm thrilled! Marni is one of those labels I'd totally wear if I were Oprah-rich. Can you imagine Marni for H&M shoes and jewelry?! All kinds of amazing. Marni for H&M will be available from March 8, 2012, in over 250 stores worldwide and online. Keep reading for more glimpses at the collection.
