I am a stay-at-home mom that lives in ballet flats. I am finally ready to buy some heels for date nights, etc. and I was hoping to figure out which should be my top 3 pairs to buy. I would mainly be wearing them with skinny jeans. Colors, style, material—any details you can offer would be greatly appreciated! —Kate

If you're anything like me, you won't wear heels that are painful or prohibit you from moving around freely. So let's start with three pairs of heels that are both stylish and comfortable so you'll be more inclined to actually wear them. Here are the three pairs I'd recommend for fall:

1. A tall heeled boot (AE Tall Buckled Boot, $79.95): Something about a tall boot just exudes style, whether you pair them with skinny jeans and a sweater or tights and a dress. Look for something in dark brown or black leather for the most versatility.



2. Heeled ankle boot (American Eagle for Payless "Paige" Bootie, $39.99): Booties with a slight Western feel are having a huge moment right now thanks to Parisian designer Isabel Marant (so you could think of them as Parisian, too). The low chunky heels, padded insole and flexible outsole makes them supremely comfortable.



3. A flirty black pump (Apt. 9 Bow High Heels, $38.99): Predictable, yes, but a black heel is a closet must-have. And there are so many styles to choose from. This one, with a pointy toe and chic bow, is so right-now and timeless all at once. It also comes in dark red or purple in case you already own basic black and want to go with a rich gem hue instead.

What are your top three "must-have" heels?

On Tuesday, I'll be able to share the complete Narciso Rodriguez for Kohl's lookbook, but until then, here are a few photos of some of the signature pieces in the collection. I received these items from Kohl's as part of a press mailer, which included a colorblock shift, tweed coat, tuxedo stripe leggings and chiffon peplum top. Sizing is generous and quality is comparable to the rest of Kohl's clothing (think ELLE or Dana Buchman). I also had the chance to browse the complete lookbook and my favorite pieces have yet to be revealed! I like the bodycon "illusion" dress (scroll down for a peak) and cool print pajama pants, which I totally would have written off had I not seen them on Jessica Alba. Inspired by a trip to Istanbul, Turkey, the limited-edition Narciso Rodriguez for DesigNation collection will be available exclusively at kohls.com and Kohl's stores beginning November 7, 2012.

One of these awesome shows is called Behind the Seams by my friend Dina Fierro of Eye 4 Style. In this series, Dina gives viewers the ultimate insider's peek into the fashion industry. Pond's recently introduced a new line called Luminous Clean, featuring three products enriched with moisturizing ingredients and soft white Kaolin clay, a natural mineral "known to gently draw out deep-dwelling impurities." The Luminous Clean line claims to brighten dull skin, and when you think about it, what's more important than glowing, luminous skin? Nothing, right? Maybe ending global poverty but after that, not much else. (Joking.)

More heavy-hitting designers are bringing their names to JCPenney this fall including Double Happiness by Vivienne Tam, Jenny Packham Boudoir and LULU by Lulu Guiness. I don't know many details yet but the collections include gift-ready items like makeup bags, coin purses, clutches and other small accessories.
