First Look: Rihanna Wears Alexander Wang for H&M

Designer Alexander Wang took to his Instagram account to share a photo of Rihanna wearing two pieces from his upcoming collaboration with H&M. The line doesn't hit stores until November 6th, but that didn't stop Riri from rocking her 'Wang'-adorned leggings and long-sleeve crop top combo while out and about New York City, where she's been hanging out for Fashion Week. This look clues us in to the fact that Alexander Wang for H&M will be sportswear-inspired, which is undoubtedly one of the hottest trends right now, along with normcore (I think the sneakers overlap both trends). It's not a look everyone can pull off and I can't say this particular outfit has me excited to see more, but that's just me. How about you, is the excitement building for the #ALEXANDERWANGxHM collaboration?

9 Décor Items for Fall You Need (And Can Totally Afford)

Fall Decor Finds

In this weekly column, I'm sharing decorating tips on a budget. This week, we're prepping our homes for fall! Check out my blog A Vintage Splendor for more ideas.

Labor Day is the unofficial end to summer - Halloween décor line up the aisles and spiced lattes fill our mugs. We crave that same warm and cozy feeling at home, but redecorating isn’t always possible or economical. I actually prefer brining in small elements that are reminiscent of the season rather than an overhaul.

Altuzarra for Target Launch Party - See the Clothes in Real Life!

Party pics from the Altuzarra for Target launch event in New York City

Yesterday evening, Target hosted a launch event for the highly anticipated collaboration with 2014's CFDA Womenswear Designer of the year, Joseph Altuzarra. The Altuzarra for Target collection features about fifty pieces, all priced between $17.99 and $89.99, and will be available exclusively at Target, in select stores and online, and at Net-A-Porter, on Sunday, September 14. The collection includes an array of dressier pieces, appropriate for work, play and formal events; pencil skirts, blouses, pants, sweaters, dresses, blazers and trench coats with embellished details, prints and rich texture. It also includes fabulous accessories like statement belts and shoes. These pieces can also be dressed down and easily incorporated into any wardrobe. Overall, the Altuzarra for Target collection absolutely rings true to Mr. Altuzarra's sultry and sophisticated design aesthetic, and at its price point, is sure to please, and certainly not one to be overlooked.

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a few of my favorites from the collection; the black sweater with gorgeous gold crane appliques at the shoulders, the printed orchid sweatshirt, the simple snake print tee and the classic cropped black tuxedo pants. Which pieces are your favorites?

11 Fall Coats and Jackets Under $100

Fall jackets and coats on a budget

Here's a coat round-up to go with your new fall boots from my previous post! Season after season, many trendy jacket styles stay similar, but are given some sort of twist—varying hues or lengths, fur details, mixed media, patterns, you name it. But it’s always comforting to know that the basics will never die. I don’t think I could even let go of my faux leather or utility jackets. And trench coats are a fall staple as much as a pumpkin spice latte. My plan is to have a variety of new and old, flashy and basic. No need to dread covering up when there’s outerwear to die for!
