Review: Romwe.com Shopping Experience

Romwe.com review at thebudgetbabe.com fashion blog
Always looking for a steal, I love trying new sites and stores for our readers. This time I shopped at online retailer, Romwe. I had seen advertisements for Romwe online and friends had shown me pieces from the online store that were insanely inexpensive. Even though I was weary of the legitimacy of the site, I gave it a shot. Sticking to a $100 budget, I shopped for key pieces that were on-trend for the fall. Read on to see what I bought and how I felt about my shopping experience...

Parisian Grunge: Hailey Baldwin's Biker Skirt and Utility Boots Look for Less:

Hailey Baldwin's leather jacket, mini skirt and buckled brogue ankle boots look for less
Snapped during Paris Fashion Week, It-girl Hailey Baldwin was all legs and leather in her Topshop mini skirt, leather moto jacket and utility boots. It's effortless yet impossibly cool. Get the look for yourself with her exact skirt (under $100 at Nordstrom), faux leather moto jacket (if you don't already own one, this one from Sears is just $30) and Matisse shoes. A structured satchel always looks polished and finishes the look. Add a long sleeve tee and chunky scarf when temps dip to take this look well into the fall.

Spot the Real: Vince Camuto Colorblock Poncho

Can you spot the Vince Camuto poncho?
Fall is here and ponchos are de rigueur in the fashion world. Bloggers love them because they make a big style statement and photograph well. I love them because it's like wearing a cozy blanket. This is the only time of year when I can put on a layering tee, leggings and boots, toss on a poncho (I bought two at Walmart this year, see pics HERE) and call it a day. Here, I've found a gorgeous poncho by Vince Camuto (which isn't a super pricey brand) for $169 at nordstrom.com. The look for less is just $32.90. The Look for Less: Express Plaid Sequin Back Shirt

Express plaid sequin back shirt as seen on McKenna Bleu
If you missed out on the Express plaid sequin back shirt that everyone was wearing last fall (most notably on fashion blogger McKenna Bleu - see how she styled her shirt HERE), then you're in luck because now you can get the look for less at JCPenney. The sequin back shirt I found is by Arizona and comes in four colors for just $24.99! Do no be confused by my collage (above): The front and back of the shirt is the same color, they just don't show the sequins on all colors in the product details on jcp.com. (Did that make any sense?!) Any at rate, this plaid shirt makes a lot of sense for the stylish girl who wants to stand out from the plaid crowd, and the shining sequin detail on the back does just that. Scoop up your sequin back shirt HERE.

HIGH: EXPRESS SEQUIN BACK PLAID SHIRT (SOLD OUT)
LOW: ARIZONA AT JCP SEQUIN BACK PLAID SHIRT, $24.99 (down from $34)

Camo Cool: Taraji P. Henson's Print Leggings and Slip-On Sneakers Look for Less

Taraji P. Henson's camo leggings and cap sleeve tank look for less
In case you haven't noticed, I'm really feeling camo this fall (see for example this post), and apparently, so is Taraji P. Henson, who rocked this print on a pair of leggings before appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The 'Empire' star kept things simple yet undeniably cool with a black cap-sleeve top, slip-on sneaks and oversized leather tote, and while I'm guessing her pieces are all designer, we were able to easily recreate this casual look on a budget. It's a fall outfit you can wear now if it's still warm (ahem, California) or later with layers...denim jacket, leather moto jacket, boyfriend blazer, or chunky sweater, to name a few options. Read on to get the look for less - nothing's over $35!
