Off the Rack: H&M 30% Off Coupon, Coachella Fashions & More

Spring fashion at H&M
There's a lot going on at H&M for spring, from festival fashions to a Louvre-inspired Conscious Collection to Earth Week perks. First, if you want to get your festival chic on, check out the H&M x Coachella collection filled with high-waist shorts, barely there tops, lots of fringe, crochet, and boho goodness. Then there's Earth Week - at my store, H&M is gearing up by encouraging shoppers to bring in their unwanted garments in any condition to be recycled, and in exchange you'll get a 30% off coupon good for one item. I was told you can get 2 coupons per visit but don't quote me on my facts, I was simultaneously dealing with a toddler/baby mutiny while chatting with the cashier. (In all fairness, it was lunchtime and they were really good sports up until that time.) This eco-friendly program isn't new - you may recall this embarrassing informative video I put together for H&M when they first launched garment recycling - but the deal is better now, up from 15% off to 30%. #yaaas

Off the Rack: What to Buy at Walmart for Spring

Walmart fashions for spring
This past weekend I stopped by Walmart to check out the latest spring fashions and snapped some photos of all the items I deemed worthy of sharing with you guys. I'm not going to pretend Walmart is a bastion of high fashion but with a discerning eye you can find some great pieces to add to your wardrobe on a really tight budget. I also realized while shopping that I was unintentionally wearing a Walmart t-shirt, jeans and boots that day, so clearly they're doing something right. I've had really good luck with their Faded Glory basics (long and short sleeve tees), their denim (Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. line is amazing - I learned about them prior to doing a sponsored post a while back and they remain my favorite jeans - and they're under $20!) and the Chelsea rain boots ($9.88) I picked up this past fall. My favorite plaid shirt is also from Walmart (and it's only $9! might have to pick up another color). The two knit cardigans I bought this past fall from Walmart were a big miss for me, but I think it's the color and style that didn't work for me. I was going for that oversized duster look and just ended up looking frumpy. And I couldn't get the olive cardigan to match anything in my wardrobe. Anyways, moving on to spring...

Double Denim: Olivia Palermo's Jacquard Coat and Jean Look for Less

oliviapalermodenimandchambraylook
Looking for another way to style your favorite chambray shirt? Take a style cue from Olivia Palermo who paired her top with darker wash distressed jeans, a patterned jacquard coat, blushed nude pointed pumps, a gold bangle and a jeweled clutch. I love this take on classic pieces, typically I would stray from matching two jean pieces but this combo looks amazing. Such a fresh idea for spring! Also perfect for spring is Olivia's rosy terracotta lip, it makes a bold statement but it isn't too dramatic and I've found the perfect match from ColourPop Cosmetics. Read on to score the shade and get the rest of Olivia's look for less.

Green Acres: Diane Kruger's Black Overall and Floral Silk Scarf Look for Less

dianekrugerblackoverallssilkscarfplatformsneakers
Country girl meets city chic in this latest look from Diane Kruger. The actress paired her black denim overalls with a simple white tee, floral silk scarf, platform sneakers, square sunglasses and a chain-strap crossbody. Diane also kept a camel peacoat close just in case the weather got a little chilly, because let's face it the spring weather can be extremely unpredictable. The overalls trend can be daunting and you really have to pair it with carefully selected pieces in order to avoid that farmer vibe. Diane accomplishes this through her shoes and glasses, which keep the look playful and trendy, while her scarf and coat offer an added bonus element of sophistication. Read on to score my look-a-like finds for these pieces and get the rest of Diane's look for less.
