Off the Rack: Cynthia Vincent for Target Early Arrivals

In an unprecedented turn of events, my local Target actually had a few styles from the Cynthia Vincent for Target collection set out early, rather than late. Hurray! I saw three styles, the strappy ring flat sandals in yellow and black, as well as the cognac wedge sandal and the ring heeled sandal. I wanted to get all four but decided to just stick with my original plan, which was to get the cognac wedges and the tribal print wedges (didn't see those yet), so I got the cognac wedges and I'm holding out for additional styles to emerge. The shoes definitely met my realistic expectations of quality and fit. I think they look great in person, fabulous on the foot and I can't wait to wear them! Shop this collection on Target's website tonight (they usually pop up around 3 or 4 a.m.-ish) or visit a Target store tomorrow when the collection "officially" launches. Anyone else snag some Cynthia Vincent for Target early?

They look great? What are they made of? and are they comfy? They look so tall!

I ventured to Target just to see the collection and was very disappointed. The shoes seems very cheaply made. I know I shouldn't expect much from Target but still. :-(
#2 Liz on 2010-04-17 19:05 (Reply)
Do the shoes run about the same size as their other brands? I will have to order online & wondering. Thanks
#3 Aubry on 2010-04-17 20:11 (Reply)
Hey guys! I found a SECRET direct link to the cognac wedges and all sizes are now in stock if you access directly through this link http://www.target.com/Cynthia-Vincent-Target-Gladiator-Sandals/dp/B002YFBMZG!!!! Good luck ladies!

THANK YOU!

I just got the black wedges and the printed wedges... didn't expect them to be online before midnight!

FYI for those ordering online.. if you pay with a visa card, you can get an extra $5 off. I'm not sure if it works for other cards as well... but I know amex has the same offer on their site as well.

Follow the link from the visa offers site to target.com: http://usa.visa.com/personal/discounts/detail/Target.com_24_W10/vro_details.jsp?offerName=Target.com_24_W10&offerId=28388&pageId=197

(I still got free shipping in addition to the $5 off. Yay!)

I haven't seen them yet. I did score 2 of the Eugenia Kim hats and a pair of Trish of Capri sandals.
#5 Tracie on 2010-04-17 20:23 (Reply)
So cute!! Super excited to hit up Target tomorrow.
#6 Jenni (Homepage) on 2010-04-17 20:38 (Reply)
I so want those ring flat sandals! I've been hiding out in Target yesterday and today and no luck on early goods here. Are the wedges heavy? Excellent score, BB!

And Zac Posen in just a few days!
#7 Jessica on 2010-04-17 21:24 (Reply)
The wedges are not heavy, thank goodness. To answer another question above, they are manmade materials, not leather (which you'd expect at that price). I prefer leather for boots but have found little to no difference with sandals of this style, your foot can breathe and they're just as comfy.

Thanks for the links! I just got the yellow and cognac wedges! So excited.

Seriously, BB. I think I just stared at those wedges for like 5 minutes. I am in love. I got the floral kimono dress from the H&M garden collection and really need some wedges to go with it, and I think those might work.

I want them...now! Please share pics of outfits with those shoes. And you're so right, they are practical, look very comfortable and very affordable. My kind of shoe!

Great buy!

You mentioned about a month ago that Tucker will be at Target. Do you know when it will arrive or if they will sale online?

Tucker by Gaby Basora for Target will release a line of coats, dresses, and lingerie on September 10.

I was able to snag the cognac wedges early myself! I found the ONE pair at my local Target yesterday, and lucky for me it was the perfect size.
#14 Target-Addict (Homepage) on 2010-04-18 10:08 (Reply)
oh no!! i just went to the target site and the wedges are not in stock!!!! did i miss out or will they restock?
#15 michele on 2010-04-18 11:38 (Reply)
I am lovin those sandals!!
#16 thisizkim on 2010-04-18 12:02 (Reply)
I went this morning and they appeared to have been put out early - and were out of stock in all but the black heels you pictured! I was so bummed bc I had been waiting for the cognac wedges. I hope they get restocked.

I may consider buying them online but I find that target shoe sizes fluctuate. How do they run in sizing? I usually wear an 8.5 but sometimes i have to get a 9/9.5 at Target.
#17 M on 2010-04-18 13:04 (Reply)
I bought the cognac wedges (I had to go to three stores to find them!) and found that the CV shoes are about the same size as Target's Mossimo brand. (Which is a 6.5 for me when my normal size is a 7.)

The CV shoes are a little on the narrow side, though, so I you might want to go up half a size if your feet are wide.

I drove to 3 target stores this morning. NO BLACK wedge and now of course they are sold out on-line. I should have just ordered them on-line this morning... ARRRRG!!!!
#18 meghan (Homepage) on 2010-04-18 14:07 (Reply)
meghan, i feel ya! i should have bought them online last night as well. when i checked last night, they werent offering free shipping so the total was almost $40! but i was like oh i will just wait to get them in stores. well i called 3 stores around me and either they only have the flat sandals or they have literally 4 pairs and theyre not my size, or they havent put them out yet. each store that i called said that they would be getting more and putting them out in the next couple of days so i suggest to call beforehand. i was able to get the cognac wedges online this morning but i want the black ones as well. i will continue hunting for the black ones until i get them!! lol.
#19 michele on 2010-04-18 14:13 (Reply)
I heard black is only available online and not in stores. Good luck!
#19.1 M on 2010-04-18 16:15 (Reply)
oh are you serious?! ahhh well then i hope they restock it online soon! i keep checking and they restock it but its not in my size :-(
#19.1.1 michele on 2010-04-18 17:34 (Reply)
Does anyone know if online will be re-stocked soon?
#20 Tannia on 2010-04-18 15:04 (Reply)
i am wondering the same thing!
#20.1 michele on 2010-04-18 20:10 (Reply)
I was so disappointed that every target by me put out only one of each shoe size and sold out immediately.

grrrr.
#21 killakate on 2010-04-18 16:23 (Reply)
I got the same pair this am.. It took going to 2 Targets and waiting for about 20 minutes as the shoe stocker had been on vacation and they didn't get put on the sales floor...eeeekkkkk!!!! But I waited it out and I was the first to purchase in that store....I love them and I want the other printed pair you are holding out for and the black wedges as well.....I love getting a great deal!!!!!!

I went last week and nearly cried when both my local stores didnt have a thing. I guess I will have to go out tomorrow and search! :-)

That was the most frustrating shopping experience of my life. The display was pitiful and they only carried a couple of the styles. Erg. Luckily I got my Cognac!

I would just like to say that I LOVE the Budget Babe, but in regards to this Collection from Target, I'm really REALLY disappointed in Target!!! I went to 4 Targets today and one 1 had ANY Cynthia Vincent shoes. All they had was about 20 boxes total, varying sizes in 3 styles (no wedges at all). The people at the other 3 store had NO IDEA what I was talking about. Also, at 8am PST this morning, Sunday, the launch date, my size was sold out online in ALL 3 of the wedges and the ballet flats. I really hate how disorganized Target is with these collections. I also find it VERY unfair that they were out early in some stores and online. How are people supposed to buy them. I've been waiting MONTHS for this collection, got up this morning planning to make my purchases and I can't get a single pair!! I think that Target should do pre-sale on the collections.

Anyways, I Love the Budget Babe and am happy that some of you guys got your hands on these shoes.
#26 Melissa on 2010-04-18 18:58 (Reply)
I only ended up with the yellow flat sandals. The target near me was pitiful. 3 styles only and no cognac wedge to be seen. I feel like the shoe section always gets the shaft with these collections.
#27 Tracie on 2010-04-18 19:12 (Reply)
ok so i called an additional 5 other targets that i would be willing to drive to if they had the black wedges...apparently one of the stores had a huge stock of the collection since 2 weeks ago!! and now they have a few left. i told her i was looking for the black wedge so she did a store check and she confirmed that the black wedges are available only online. so looks like we have to wait and see if they restock it online? :-( i feel like writing a letter complaining to target because they advertised that the collection would be out today but yet some stores had them 2 weeks in advance? isnt that false advertising? ugggh i am very unhappy with target right now!
#28 michele on 2010-04-18 19:48 (Reply)
i emailed target earlier asking about the black wedges and this is the email response i got a few minutes ago:

We're glad to know you're interested in shopping at Target.com.

We recently sold out of the Women's Cynthia Vincent for Target® Gladiator Wedge Sandals - Black, and can't say for sure when it might be back in stock.

Your best bet is to check back every once in a while to see if it's available. If we have inventory on hand, you'll see an "Add to Cart" button on the product description page.

Keep in mind that our selection - online and in our stores-is always changing. Feel free to check back at Target.com or at any Target store to see if we've added these sandals to our assortment. Inventory differs from store to store, so you might want to check at other stores if there's more than one in your area.

I know how disappointing it can be when you aren't able to get the item you've got your eyes on, so I'm sorry if we've let you down. But we still have plenty of other items available, so you're sure to find one you'll love.

Thanks for shopping with us. I hope we can be of more help to you in the future.

:-( im so sad now.

What a mess! I feel your pain ladies. I wanted the Tribal Print Wedges but didn't buy them online when I had the chance. ("My store will have them!" I naively thought...) Hopefully my sister can track down a pair for me (she lives in Chicago) -- maybe friends or relatives living in other parts of the country can help u out?
#29.1 The Budget Babe on 2010-04-19 08:47 (Reply)
I was able to grab the Tribal Print Wedges this past Thursday. My roommate works for Target and she can look up a product to see if it has been placed in the stores early. They aren't supposed to be on the shelves too early but most of the stores just get the boxes and displays and put them up right away. My roommate told me that some of the colors and the styles won't be available until May 16th when they roll out more shoes from the collection.
#29.1.1 Anna (Homepage) on 2010-04-19 09:32 (Reply)
It's times like this that I'm thankful I live in less than fashion foward Alabama because nobody had even touched the Cynthia Vincent shoes yet! I got the same ones in cognac & LOVE them!

I was able to find a pair in sz 9 today, so I scooped them up. I normally wear a sz 8 and they fit perfect.

Oh I should also mention I went to like 7 targets haha.
#32 killakate on 2010-04-19 18:56 (Reply)
In Chicago...for the two locations I can get to by public transportation, both stores put out an end cap worth of the CV shoes, not even one in every size for all styles. All that was left in the 1st store were empty boxes as a grave marker and ONE right shoe of the black strappy heels. Not a pair. One right shoe. Target, I think you misstepped--not even one size per style in a large city?
#33 nightfury on 2010-04-19 20:52 (Reply)
I've been to 3 Targets in the past 2 days in the Jacksonville,FL area and not any one of them had ANY of the Cynthia Vincent shoes. Two of the stores didn't even know what I was talking about! I finally gave up and ordered online (they still have the ring flat sandals). Sounds like alot of people have had some bad luck with finding this collection in stores. What's the deal Target. :-(
#34 Jessica on 2010-04-19 20:58 (Reply)
My local Target always has the worst selection when it comes to these things. (Here's to hoping they'll have a good stock of the Zac Posen stuff on Sunday!) Anyhow, I was hoping to pick up the cognac wedges, but there were none to be found. Luckily, amidst the mixed-up boxes, I found a pair of the black flat sandals in my size. I think they're really cute, but I'm still holding out hope for the wedges.
#35 kaye on 2010-04-19 21:20 (Reply)
I gave up trying to find a pair of the cognac wedges. I went to Marshalls instead and got a pair of leather wedges for $34.99. Just as cute I think.
#36 Tracie on 2010-04-19 23:29 (Reply)
I was able to scoop up the yellow flat ring sandals and a Eugenia Kim white fedora hat. My two closest Targets only had the ring sandals, the kitten heel, and the tribal print wedge, and a few of the tribal flats. The gladiator wedge was no were in sight. Like another poster, I actually saw them online the morning of the "official" launch and figured I could just get them in the store. WRONG! What is the deal with having an launch date when stores put them on the shelves weeks in advance? This causes mass hysteria, early sellouts, and d-bags buying up shoes by the dozen to sell on Ebay at ridiculous prices. They should have extensive stock, especially in the styles exploited in every fashion magazine. Poor marketing!
#37 FrouLaLa on 2010-04-19 23:39 (Reply)
I have the brown wedges or cognac or whatever in size 8- I really wanted the black (they have them in store in PHX az btw I am making my dad go get them for me because he lives there and I am in the midwest). I would sell these if anyone needs them before returning. No mark up just pay through pay pal and add just a few bucks for paypal fees is all!

I just got my cognac and black wedges in the mail yesterday. They are fantastic. I can't wait to wear them. I think I'll give them a go this weekend. It's going to be beautiful here in Northern California.

Thanks to all of you for the secret links on 4/17.

I went on the day they were released and on Wednesday and my Target didn't have them out yet. Then I went today and it looked like they were just put out, because they had lots of selection - so check back, for those of you that are having trouble finding them, also you can search at target.com for available in store selection.

I got the cognac wedges and they are just delightful!
