Recently I received a complimentary sample of new Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Duo Eye Enhancer in Bronze/Warm Brown ($9.00 through Avon reps or at avon.com). While this isn't a product I would have selected for myself (I fear metallic liquid shadows), it's proven to be a simple, effective makeup tool for getting a great, glowing summer eye look in a minute! I guess I should have had more faith in Hollywood makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, who teamed up with Avon to create this and other clever beauty products that multi-task, aimed at saving you time and money.
The Professional Due Eye Enhancer combines a liquid liner and highlighting eyeshadow in a single, dual-ended eye enhancer, which means you can toss it in your purse and do touch-ups (or an entire look) on the go. The liner goes on smooth and evenly with a steady hand, dries quickly, won't smudge, yet comes off easily with a little eye makeup remover (or lots of water).
The shadow is creamy with a hint of shimmer, won't crease, feels lightweight, and while it will smudge if you rub your eyes, I like that it's easy to remove at the end of the night. It's also so sheer and subtle that you can't really overdo things. Just dab a little under your brow bone and in the corners of your eyes for an illuminating look, or cover your entire lid and blend for a little more glow. It's foolproof and non-irritating for contact wearers (didn't flake into my eyes, a definite plus).
All in all, this is a great product if you're looking for something simple to add to your eye makeup repertoire!
