5 Under $50: Patterned Sweaters

Oversized, patterned sweaters look cool - not clunky - when paired with skinny jeans and edgy ankle boots, as seen on Jessica Simpson. Here are 5 options from Forever 21 that are all under $50 so you can give this trend a spin without buyer's remorse.

1. Love 21 Wintery Snowflake Open Cardigan, $27.80

2. Cable Knit Turtleneck Tunic, $29.80

3. Heritage 1981 Chunky Knit Cardigan, $32.90

5. Retro Tribal Sweater, $32.80

You have to be careful with large pattern sweaters. You don't want to look like your Aunt Bessie's couch!

I bought a sweet patterned sweater at F21 last year but it was kind of overwhelming on me - I'm short and thin. I ended up donating it to goodwill. It's adorable on taller girls though, so I hope it found a good home!

I have to agree with Dany, not a good look on her.

I love patterned sweaters! You should check out the Free People site -- some beauuuuutiful ones on there! Not the cheapest, but just gorgeous. I'm not usually a sweater person, but these boho patterned ones are making me swoon this season! :-)

Ten bucks these are all made of acrylic and will tear, pill and fade within two washes.

I will echo Anusha, go for quality, not quantity. A good, well-made sweater will not only look and lay much nicer, but it will be much more cost-effective if you're actually able to wear it more than once or twice.

So sick of cheap, synthetics.
