My sister aka The Budget Beauty Babe reviews new tarte Cosmetics infused with "Amazonian clay" from QVC.com. —BB

Just a few days ago I opened up a package sent to me by QVC with fantastic new products by Tarte Cosmetics. I am addicted to eye makeup and was really excited to find a couple of products that I just love and I think you guys will enjoy too!

Tarte has just developed a line of makeup using Amazonian clay, yes, like clay that they claim was dug out of the riverbed of the Amazon. To be honest, my first reaction wasn't exactly great, probably because the first thing that jumps into my mind when I think of the Amazon river is piranhas, but oh well…

Not one to let a mean fish stop me, I've been wearing these products for the past couple of days and really like the way they look, feel and wear. The Amazonian clay is supposed to mattify oily lids, without being drying, and as a huge plus these products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic dye or synthetic fragrance (whew!).

I especially care about a products formulation when I'm going to be putting it around my sensitive eye area, and so they get high marks from me on that. As I've mentioned before, I'm also a contact lens wearer, and I haven't had any issues with these products while wearing my contacts either (big plus).

My two favorite products are the Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Eye Base ($19.98), and the Tarte EmphasEyes Smoldering Clay Eyeliner Trio ($38.18) in Charcoal, Bronze and Plum. I love eye bases, I think that they make a world of difference and this one is just fantastic. I love the way it feels when you put it on, I love the color and I love how it really does make all your eyeshadow/eye makeup last and last without melting off your face. I also love how it brightens up the inside corner of your eye as you work it in, instantly giving you that fresh, rested look.

Top the eye base with one of the gorgeous clay eyeliners and you'll look amazing from morning till night. The pencils are pretty fat, so you get a nice smoky look easily, and the other end of the pencil has a smudging brush to work in the color. I really like all three of the colors, and have to agree that they are very flattering for pretty much everyone. Today I smoked together the slate and the plum and loved the effect (and I got some compliments too, always a good sign!)

Both of these products can be found on the QVC website, and are a great green makeup addition to your collection.

Sounds really cool! Those eyeliner colors are great neutrals, especially if you have hazel eyes I'd think. Do you know if they're available outside the US?

I'm a huge fan of tarte - You should post some pictures of the makeup on next time! :-D I'm curious to see how it looks on.
