Adventures in Online Shopping: Last Call by Neiman Marcus

Recently the folks at Last Call by Neiman Marcus sent me a $75 giftcard to go wild on their website. At first I didn't think I'd be able to find anything I could afford with said meager amount, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of mid-priced brands and, yes, deals! As in, incredible bargains! An Alice + Olivia dress for $173, down from $495. J Brand denim shorts for $56, down from $160.

After perusing the chic offerings by designers such as Joie, Vince and Milly, I ended purchasing some Seychelles flats that I'd been eying since last season and featured this season here for $59.25 (down from $79.95, and sold out everywhere). I upgraded to 2-day delivery since I was using a giftcard (not something I'd normally do) bringing my grand total up to $74.25. Ordering was easy, my shoes arrived on time and I can't wait to wear my new shoes once the weather warms up.

I think is poised to give members-only sale sites a run for their money. For those of us who don't live near a brick-n-mortar Last Call location, this e-commerce site is a great way to get in on the retail discount action, especially when you hit up the Final Calls section. One needn't be a member and you know you'll find the same great merchandise you'd see at Needless Markup Neiman Marcus.

The site also boasts an attractive layout and super easy navigation. Special deals and promotions are prominently displayed on the homepage, so you don't have to search for deal codes. I hope will continue to offer still greater deals and deeper discounts. Put it on your list of places to shop when you need a special occasion dress or new designer handbag - you might just get lucky!

Disclosure: Last Call gave me an unsolicited complimentary $75 giftcard to use as I chose; I was under no obligation to review their website. Opinions expressed in this post are entirely my own.

Would you recommend it to others or not ? I'm scared to make a purchase from there.
