My first opportunity was a phone chat with celebrity makeup artist and Avon Global Creative Color Director Jillian Dempsey, who shared her two favorite beauty looks for the warmer months ahead. The first look is perfect for everyday, and for someone like myself who is makeup challenged (I can do other people's makeup better than my own, let's put it that way) I love how easy it is to recreate. Start with a clean face, then add pink cheeks, bronzy eyes and translucent popsicle-colored lips (which Jillian says is the "it" color of the season). This is a great look that can work on virtually any skintone - it's all about creating a fresh, glowing, simple look that's chic and will take you through the summer in style.
The second look was particularly interesting to me because I'm engaged, and it was a bridal look! Jillian revealed the look she's loving for brides getting married this spring/summer season. This look is defined by a soft, flawless face and rosy cheeks. Add a little extra blush on your wedding day for better photos, says Jillian. Next, highlight the brow bone and finish with a light, shimmery shadow. Finish with a warm tone lip. Be sure to use waterproof makeup and touch up often with powder to ensure camera-ready makeup throughout your wedding day. Duly noted!
